"What's that look on your face, Hall Master Wu? You and Brother Virtual made a fair trade. You don't think I threatened him, do you?" Mormodo said calmly, watching the strange expression on Hall Master Wu's face.
"Besides, Brother Virtual and I are extremely close. We're the best of friends!"
"Brother Mormodo, you're overthinking it." Hall Master Wu gave an awkward laugh before continuing, "I was just curious why you wanted so many Contribution Points all at once!"
"I just want to exchange them for some things I need," Mormodo said frankly.
"It's nothing shameful. I've thought it over. If I can fuse the many abilities I've imitated into one, my strength will increase tremendously. I probably won't be much weaker than a normal Celestial God. So I need some knowledge to guide me!"
When Hall Master Wu first heard Mormodo explain his idea, his mind went blank because it was simply too far-fetched. But by the end, his confusion had turned into grimness.
That was because he already knew what knowledge Mormodo wanted to exchange for.
"Brother Mormodo, you want to exchange for 'Fusion-type' knowledge?" Hall Master Wu finally couldn't hold back and asked.
"I know that kind of knowledge is precious. That's why I borrowed Contribution Points from Brother Virtual!" Mormodo said calmly.
Hall Master Wu: "..."
In fact, how could that knowledge be described as merely precious? The reason these A-rank branch hall masters had been able to rapidly become A-rank lifeforms was that they had relied entirely on technologies centered around "Fusion-type" knowledge!
Although knowledge wasn't the same as technology, the relationship between the two was actually quite close.
While Hall Master Ling was silently thinking, Mormodo suddenly turned to look at Bexers.
"Bexers, I'd also like to speak with you alone. Is that convenient?" Mormodo
