Just then, a relaxed voice came from outside the door:

Komuto's eyes lit up as if he had been granted salvation.

Wyatt froze for a moment, but Old Komuto ignored his injured arm hanging from his chest, sprang off the bunk with a whoosh, and dashed out of the room, disappearing down the corridor. He looked as though the kitchen had just started serving meals.
The Attendant Officer was speechless. He could only purse his lips and turn toward the newcomer.

With that, Wyatt shook his head and sighed as he passed by Doyle in disappointment.
D.D had just returned from the dessert shop with a bag of almond mini-pastries in his arms. He had been beaming, but now he was utterly confused. The hand holding out the pastries extended halfway before losing its target, leaving an awkward scene behind.
