The two girls were astonished to see the man as well:
"You're back so soon?"
They glanced at the basket and saw that it was completely empty. Even more shocked, they asked in disbelief:
"Dad, did you sell all your fruits? Or did you throw them away?!"
"Sold them all."

The girl stared wide-eyed:
"You sold them all?! How is that possible?!"
"Oh, dear!"
Afraid of delaying Ding Ling's business, and all the more unwilling to slight him after learning that he was most likely an Immortal, the man could not bear to see the two girls chatter on endlessly. He pushed them aside:
"I'll tell you about it when we get back. I have something to do now."
With that,
He gave Ding Ling an embarrassed smile, then bowed and scraped:
"Immortal, please follow me. We'll be there soon."
