Fang Yu was curious. A newcomer?
"He must be a freshman. If he were an old student, how could we not know him?"
Fang Yu and the others chattered excitedly. Clearly, seeing such a stunning student at the school gate had them thrilled:
"He looks like that, and his bearing is so refined. If he were an old student, he would have become famous throughout the school by now."
"That's true."
Fang Yu nodded and pondered for a moment before saying, "He might just be here to visit our school, though. Who says he has to be a freshman?"
"It would be great if he were a freshman."
Fang Yu's classmates chimed in. "A handsome, refined boy like that—if we could date him, how wonderful would that be?"
Fang Yu didn't think much of it.
Although a pretty boy looked nice, who knew what he was like on the inside? He might just be a pretty face with nothing behind it.
The group watched Ding Ling's back disappear into the depths of the campus before finally letting out sighs of relief.
Then they looked at one another and burst out laughing.
"Looks like Fang Yu's fallen in love too. Who would've guessed? You're usually so carefree and loyal, but now you're thinking about dating."
"Isn't that normal?"
Fang Yu's face flushed slightly, but she didn't argue. Instead, she said frankly:
"Men marry when they're grown, and women marry when they're grown. At our age, even if we're not talking about marriage, dating is perfectly normal, right? Otherwise, we'll have to leave everything to our parents and matchmakers. Would you rather wait until you're older and let your parents interfere in your marriage, or find an ideal husband yourselves?"
"Of course we'll find one ourselves."
"Then there you have it."
