Lu Yiping was gripped by unprecedented panic and fear. She felt someone pulling her clothes open.
She struggled with all her might, but a man punched her in the stomach and warned her:
"Stop moving around. Believe it or not, I'll beat you to death?"
Lu Yiping's body went rigid. Her eyes widened, her face filled with terror.
She wanted to speak, but someone clamped a hand tightly over her mouth. The hand covering her mouth reeked of blood and filth.
She felt like vomiting.
Especially when she heard the man's excited, agitated voice:
"We've struck it rich this time. Hurry up and get on with it."

The man pulled out a small knife
and waved it at the newcomer.
Lu Yiping couldn't see the man's expression, but she could already imagine how twisted and terrifying his face must be.
"Let go of Yiping."
Four simple, clear words, gentle as jade.
Yet they seeped into Lu Yiping's heart like sweet spring water. Her eyes grew moist, and she looked toward the newcomer with reddened eyes.
It was Ding Ling.
She had never imagined that Ding Ling had been secretly following her all along!
She was deeply moved, and her body trembled.
She opened her mouth and bit the man's hand. The man cried out in pain and released her. Lu Yiping hurriedly said,
"Ding Ling, run!
