Ding Ling met Ruo Lan, the current Fortress Lord of the Jade Pool Immortal Fortress, who explained the history of the corrupted Kunlun Immortal Mountain and her fortress. As they reached the fortress, a vast wave of demonic energy swept toward them, and Ding Ling turned to strike it with his palm.

• Ding Ling asked Ruo Lan about the demonic blood covering Kunlun Mountain, and she explained that the Youquan Blood Demon had killed Master Gu Yue two hundred years earlier and corrupted the mountain.

Ding Ling and Ruo Lan confronted the escaped Demonic Cult Protector, Shangguan Moyun, and fought to stop him from fleeing. Ding Ling killed him with the Three Revolutions of Reincarnation and began extracting his memories and refining his remaining energy.

• Shangguan Moyun escaped the Demon Locking Array Core, but Ding Ling pursued him with the Xuanyuan Sword.
• Shangguan Moyun split into Blood Crows to flee, but Ding Ling tracked his Primordial Spirit and forced him to fight.
• Ruo Lan joined the battle, and Shangguan Moyun used the Blood Demon Body Detonation technique to overpower her sword and attack her.
