I'm taking some time off to rest. I only took one day off last month, and I'm exhausted. It feels like my computer has cached a huge pile of junk that needs clearing out.
I'll also take this opportunity to say that this book should be finished within the next few days.
Actually, the author had already been thinking about ending it as early as the end of last year.
It was just that, at the time, considering the book's progress—the protagonist hadn't even left Dong Province, and his cultivation was only at the Grotto-Heaven realm—ending it there would have felt disjointed and like a botched conclusion. It would also have been far too unfair to the readers who had paid for the book.
So I could only try to speed things up and keep writing. At the beginning of every month, I would think, "This month, I'll definitely finish it," but once I started writing, one delay led to another, and it dragged on until now.
Although the ending feels somewhat rushed, and quite a few things haven't been explained properly, there's nothing else I can do.
This book's performance has actually been very poor. It never even reached premium status, and it's also been half a year since I received a single recommendation. The author can't hold on anymore.
Fortunately, although this final stretch of the story seems a little rushed, it at least didn't completely collapse. It can be considered a fairly steady landing, and at least it gives the readers who have supported the author all along an answer.
As for the new book, I'll probably start working on it immediately after this one ends. However, I'll save at least a week's worth of chapters before publishing, so I won't end up posting repeated chapters every
