Some Ancient Altars that had long since been abandoned actually ignited the Fire of Corruption on their own, with no one presiding over them.
Those flames were not bright. They were more like clusters of dark-green bubbles rising from the depths of rotting divine souls.
When the bubbles floated up, many Evil Swamp creatures in charge of patrols would even suddenly kneel on the ground without the slightest resistance.
They had received no order.
Nor did they understand why they had knelt.
It was merely that some kind of fear from the depths of their Life Source Power had forcibly bent their wills.
What was even more troublesome was that some low-level Evil Swamp races began to undergo collective mutation.
There was a large Evil Swamp world named Rotten Beard Star Swamp, originally only a resource-producing area under a certain Level-12 Temple.
