After the Lord of Evil Swamp sank back into slumber, the Rule Beacons Hongjun had left in Evil Swamp Time-Space did not disappear.

Quite the opposite—they became a few shades clearer in the depths of Evil Swamp Time-Space.

The first to notice this was the Evil Spirit King.

He could now mobilize a portion of Evil Swamp's Branch Authority, and he was far more sensitive than before to changes in the native deep-level rules.

Several deep nodes that should originally have been firmly suppressed by the Lord of Evil Swamp's source had actually fallen into an "indeterminate" state.

That feeling was very strange.

They were still inside Evil Swamp Time-Space.

They were still immersed in rules such as corruption, mutation, and Emotional Sinking.

But when the Evil Spirit King tried to sense the Lord of Evil Swamp's control over those regions, he found that an extra layer of hazy obstruction had appeared within them.

This layer of obstruction was not overbearing.

At the very least, it was nothing like the tyranny of Locke's Power of Destruction.

It was more like it had gently pushed the rule ownership that should have been certain toward "uncertainty."

The Evil Spirit King quickly realized that this was related to the Rule Beacons Dao Ancestor Hongjun had previously left behind.

These beacons were not ordinary coordinates.

Nor were they simply there to make it convenient for Hongjun to Descend later.

They seemed to have created tiny pockets of Indeterminate Zone deep within Evil Swamp Time-Space.

The Evil Spirit King was greatly tempted by this, because these Indeterminate Zones could weaken the Lord of Evil Swamp's rule control over local areas.

If such regions continued to expand, then in the future, the Branch Authority the Evil Spirit King could tear free might perhaps become even greater.
