The nest's enormous body shifted backward.

But before it could fully retreat from its original position, a mass of phantom black obelisks rose behind it, firmly sealing off that still-empty stretch of space.

The Empty-Faced Burning Monarch was already waiting there.

Dense black flames spread outward along the obelisks, intercepting several streams of origin power the nest was trying to reconnect. Its hollow face remained unchanged, but its raised arm was already pressing toward the nest's outer body.

Compared with the Crystal Tide Wrath Beast attacking head-on, the pressure exerted by the Empty-Faced Burning Monarch was clearly far heavier.

The openings across the Erosion Abyss Mother Nest's surface spread wide almost simultaneously.

Countless destruction creatures poured out in a frenzy. Even beneath the shell that had just been shattered, a batch of incompletely formed creatures forcibly tore free of the strands connecting them to the nest.

They immediately collided with the destructive gazes sweeping toward them.

A short distance away, the Hundred-Eyed Chaos Beast kept turning its body, the eyes across its surface lighting up one after another. Every beast tide attempting to break out first had to endure a devastating barrage.
