Ch. 563Partial Elementalization

Saine and Yuli engaged a Thunder-Infused Green-skinned Gas on the battlefield, and Saine tested his newly developed Partial Elementalization in close combat. His devastating punch shattered the creature’s electric defense, but its lightning struck back as the fight continued.

  • Saine charged toward the Green-skinned Gas, while Jeremy Grant followed to protect him from nearby enemies.
  • Yuli confronted the Green-skinned Gas with her upgraded Flame Mark Constructed Magic Puppet as the creature used Thunder Infusion to approach peak Level 2.
  • Saine ignored Jeremy’s warning to retreat and ordered Yuli out of the way before attacking the Gas himself.
  • Saine used a partially elementalized punch to break through the Gas’s electric net and wound it.
  • The wounded Gas unleashed a surge of lightning against Saine, whose constitution and increased resistance to thunder helped him withstand the counterattack.

Ch. 564Defeat

Saine survived a dangerous clash with a Level-2 Gass, then used his Azure Fire Eye Magic and Yuli’s cannon to help defeat Thunderfall World’s forces. After the three-day battle ended with the enemy retreating, Saine approached a dying Thunder Giant Beast.

  • Saine’s strike and the Level-2 Gass’s lightning counterattack left both badly wounded, but Yuli, Jeremy, and Owl Little Qi helped protect and extract Saine.
  • Saine drank a potion, escaped into the sky on Owl Little Qi, and unleashed more than a hundred Azure Fire Eyes against the Gass and nearby creatures.
  • Saine began casting Brilliant Heart Beam as Yuli’s magic puppet fired its main cannon into the blasted battlefield.
  • The battle on the plains west of Thunderfall Marsh lasted three days and ended with Thunderfall World’s remaining forces retreating after more than seventy thousand casualties.
  • Saine helped Knights finish off wounded Gass before walking toward a still-breathing Thunder Giant Beast.

Ch. 565Interpersonal Relationships

After distinguishing himself in battle, Saine gained the Thunder Giant Beast as his spoil and earned the goodwill of the knights at Thunderfall Marsh Camp. He traded with them and built new connections, then contacted Lina through a Magic Tower screen.

  • A Black Armor Knight gave Saine the wounded Thunder Giant Beast, and Saine treated its fatal wound with a potion.
  • Saine's support on the front line during the battle earned him recognition and favors from the knights at Thunderfall Marsh Camp.
  • Saine welcomed the knights' friendship and traded Magic Potions and alchemical Magic Conductors for Alien Plane materials and specimens.
  • Saine traded for two Gas corpses with Thunderfall Infusion abilities and became more accepted among the camp's knights.
  • Saine reflected that reuniting with Lina had helped change his solitary outlook, then greeted her through an Elemental Light Screen.

Ch. 566Cross-Plane Communication

Saine used the Netherworld to communicate with Lina across planes, sharing his Thunderfall World research and preparing to attempt a breakthrough to Level 2 within half a year. After their two-hour conversation ended, he returned to his experiments, leaving Lina unaware of the Grant Family’s proposed marriage alliance.

  • Saine connected his Magic Tower to the lightning in Thunderfall World to power his cross-plane communication with Lina.
  • Saine told Lina about his Elementalized body, his research, and his expected Level 2 breakthrough, while Lina’s questions gave him new insights.
  • Saine sent Lina Thunderfall World specimens and resources, highlighting Specimen Number Three’s Thunderfall Infusion ability.
  • Saine and Lina discussed her situation at the Pale Bone Black Tower and the Tower Master’s apparent silence about taking her as a disciple.
  • Saine told Lina that the four Sea Lizards survived the battle and that Xiao San was badly injured; Lina advised feeding them energy-rich flesh and blood.
  • After ending the communication, Saine resumed his experiments without mentioning the Grant Family’s marriage alliance proposal.

Ch. 567Second-Level

As the war in Thunderfall World intensified, Saine secured a year and a half to advance before he had to report to the Western Front. He completed his transformation into a Level Two Magician in seclusion and remained meditating in the underground room.

  • Thunderfall Marsh Camp received reinforcements and wounded knights as Fortress Headquarters prepared to send most magicians to the Western Front.
  • Saine obtained a year-and-a-half extension to focus on advancing, then prepared the Magic Tower’s underground Meditation Room and assigned Yuli and the other slaves to guard it.
  • Saine began his breakthrough and, by the third month, had transformed half his body into Azure Fire Element.
  • By the fifth month, Azure Fire had replaced the cells and skin across Saine’s entire body, and by the seventh month his Elementalization was complete.
  • Saine reached the genuine standard of a Level Two Magician but remained standing in meditation at the center of the room.

Ch. 568The Great Battle Approaches

After ten months of seclusion, Saine successfully advanced to the second level and emerged with greatly increased attributes and an Elemental True Body. As the Western Front battle drew near, he reunited with the Grant Family at Thunderfall Marsh Camp, where they planned to travel to the main battlefield.

  • Saine emerged from meditation as a Second-Level Magician, with Mental Strength of 1317, Magic Power of 1764, and Constitution of 1899.
  • Saine realized his excessive use of Magic Potions had increased his Mental Strength more than he intended, and he burned the empty bottles and clutter in his Meditation Room.
  • Saine returned from his Elemental True Body to his human form and left his Meditation Room after ten months of seclusion.
  • Saine learned that most Knights and Magicians had been transferred from Thunderfall Marsh Camp as the fighting on the Western Front escalated.

  • Jeremy told Saine that his fiancée had been at Thunderfall Marsh Camp for nearly two months and had argued with Colleena.
  • Jeremy warned Saine that rumors claimed his fiancée had been involved with another woman, and Saine reacted with surprise.
  • Saine reported his advancement to the Fortress Headquarters and agreed to extend his war service from ten years to fifteen.
  • After signing the revised contract, Saine prepared to visit Kelman and the Fortress Trade Market.
  • A woman hurled a massive greatsword into the ground before Saine and asked if he was Saine.

Ch. 570Breaking Off the Engagement

Saine met Nataya Ernst, the Level-2 Female Knight sent to break off their arranged engagement. He agreed that he did not approve of the marriage either, and the two began discussing their shared objections.

  • Saine noticed that Nataya resembled Red Scales, the only Female Knight he had previously been intimate with.
  • Nataya introduced herself and declared that she would not marry a man weaker than herself, especially a frail-bodied Magician.
  • Nataya saw Saine's face but remained determined to reject the family alliance arranged by her father.
  • Saine identified himself and said he wanted to clear up misunderstandings.
  • Saine told Nataya that he also disapproved of the marriage.

Ch. 571The Battle of Level Twos

Saine agreed to end his engagement with Nataya, but her anger led her to attack him. Their clash became the first battle after Saine advanced to Level 2, drawing a crowd of wounded knights at Thunderfall Marsh Camp.

  • Saine coldly ended his engagement with Nataya and left, angering the proud female knight.
  • Nataya hurled her greatsword at Saine, who activated his Elemental True Body and avoided the strike.
  • Nataya realized Saine had advanced to Level 2, and Saine warned her that she would pay for attacking him.
  • Saine and Nataya fought with Azure Fire Flame and fire-attribute battle qi, while knights at the camp gathered to watch and place bets.

Ch. 572Flames Collide

  • Saine and Nataya began their duel at Fortress Camp while the knights wagered heavily on the fight.
  • Saine displayed his Level-2 Azure Fire Power and physical strength, drawing the crowd’s favor as the battle remained close.
  • Nataya grew furious and activated her Bloodline Transformation, revealing a powerful Demon form.
  • Nataya charged Saine with her greatsword, and Saine blocked the strike with his Azure Fire Heart Magic Staff.
  • Saine declared Nataya finished and fired a Brilliant Heart Beam at thirty percent of its peak power.

Ch. 573Subduing

Saine defeated Nataya in a fight at Thunderfall Marsh Camp, then bound and spanked her before Lord Alfies intervened. Afterward, Ulysses reprimanded Saine while Colleena comforted Nataya and defended the marriage arrangement, and Colleena complained to Alfies about the chaos.

  • Saine pierced Nataya's shoulder with a Brilliant Heart Beam, then restrained her with Azure Fire Ropes.
  • Saine spanked Nataya as the knights watched, and Lord Alfies eventually ordered him to stop.
  • Ulysses reprimanded Saine for humiliating his fiancée, while Colleena comforted Nataya.
  • Nataya complained that Colleena took Saine's side, but Colleena reminded her that she had provoked the fight.
  • Colleena criticized Alfies for failing to intervene sooner, and he replied that he had seen worse arguments between knight couples.

Ch. 574Falling Flowers Have Feelings

Saine rejected the elders’ marriage alliance with Nataya, but she misunderstood his refusal as an insult to her worth. The marriage remained unresolved, and Saine and Nataya were assigned to the same combat zone on the western Thunderfall Plain as a massive battle approached.

  • Saine told the elders that he did not approve of marrying Nataya and assumed she agreed with him.
  • Nataya challenged Saine, asking whether he thought she was not good enough for him.
  • Alfies left, and the family discussion ended without resolving Saine and Nataya’s marriage alliance.
  • Saine learned that Luluenman had apparently tacitly approved the alliance, making it harder to avoid.
  • Saine and Nataya were transferred to the western Thunderfall Plain and assigned to the same combat zone ahead of a battle involving armies numbering in the millions.

Ch. 575Journey West

Saine prepared his creatures and equipment before accepting the fortress’s assignment to travel to the Western Front Battlefield. He set out on the Thunder Giant Beast with his recovering father, while Ulysses, Colleena, and Nataya traveled nearby.

  • Saine packed his laboratory equipment and supplies, then checked on Hai Xi and the other sea lizards, the Thunder Giant Beast, Yuli, Owl Little Qi, the Mermaid, and the Little Fox Girl.

  • Three months later, Saine accepted the fortress’s assignment and set out for the Western Front Battlefield atop the Thunder Giant Beast.
  • Saine brought Kelman Grant, whose injuries had nearly healed, and Owl Little Qi with him.
  • Ulysses and Colleena traveled nearby on the Reverse Feather Lion King, while Nataya watched Saine from its back.

Ch. 576A Fight with Their Backs to the River

Saine traveled with Kelman to the Steel Wall Fist Knights' Hall fortress on the Thunderfall Plain, where he received a relatively safe assignment coordinating three Magic Towers west of the base. As the war approached, he learned that Jeremy and Ulysses would be sent to the northern front and offered Jeremy supplies before they parted.

  • Kelman asked Saine about the marriage arrangement, and Saine admitted that he already liked someone; Kelman supported his choice as a father despite the family's expectations.
  • Saine and Kelman arrived at the enormous Plains Fortress after a month of travel, and Saine assessed its Space Fortress, defenses, and large slave-creature forces.
  • Fortress Headquarters assigned Saine to coordinate three Magic Towers west of the base, while Kelman was assigned to patrol nearby Area No. 2.
  • Jeremy told Saine that he, Ulysses, and the Reverse Feather Lion King would head to the northern front, and Saine offered Jeremy Magic Potions and one-use alchemy items before the war began.

Ch. 577Death Gate

Saine completed a Death Gate beneath his Magic Tower and prepared to summon undead as a contingency for the escalating war. As tensions rose on the Thunderfall World battlefield, he wondered whether Level-4 lifeforms would intervene, while a Level-3 Sky Knight arrived to inspect the area.

  • Saine expanded his Magic Tower's underground levels and used exchanged materials to construct a Death Gate, preparing for the uncertain war.
  • Saine told Lina that he was preparing for the worst, while Lina shared progress on her research into cross-plane transmission passages.
  • Saine noticed Nataya near a supply warehouse, then ordered Slave Creatures to move elemental array discs while maintaining control of five nearby Magic Towers.
  • Saine relied on the completed Death Gate and gathered undead instead of accepting slave guards, and he wondered whether Level-4 lifeforms would enter the conflict.
  • A Level-3 Sky Knight arrived to inspect the area, causing nearby Slave Creatures to weaken and bow their heads.

Ch. 578War Begins

Saine met Level-3 Sky Knight Wilson while working at the fortress, then continued preparing his Magic Tower as war with Thunderfall World began. From the western side of the fortress, Saine supported the Wizard World’s assault with long-range Magic Tower attacks, killing thousands of Alien Creatures.

  • Wilson introduced himself to Saine and asked about his Magic Tower and its Undead Creatures, but Saine ended their conversation and returned to his work.
  • Wilson flew south toward the warehouse district where Saine’s father, Kelman, and others were stationed.
  • Four and a half months after Saine arrived at the Fortress Camp, the Wizard World began its large-scale assault on Thunderfall World’s forces.
  • Saine controlled three of his five Magic Towers to fire on the distant battlefield, with his enhanced “Wish of Light” beam reaching the enemy’s rear lines.
  • Saine’s long-range attacks killed an estimated three or four thousand Alien Creatures.

Ch. 579The Encircling Net

Saine supported the Wizard World’s advance across Thunderfall Plain with long-range magic while balancing his own reserves and requesting supplies. On the seventeenth day, Thunderfall World’s scattered forces began encircling the Wizard World Fortress Main Base, shifting the battle toward a larger strategic contest.

  • Saine used the Wish of Light energy pillar and surrounding Magic Towers to provide long-range fire support, while preserving his Mental Strength for emergencies.
  • Nataya delivered supplies to Saine, and Yuli accepted them before relaying Saine’s requests for additional magical materials.
  • The Wizard World Legion pushed through Thunderfall Plain, breaking apart Thunderfall World’s forces despite their greater numbers.
  • Thunderfall World’s creatures kept fighting because they believed their great Guardian watched over them.
  • On the seventeenth day, Thunderfall World’s defeated forces began bypassing the main legions to encircle the Wizard World Fortress Main Base.

Ch. 580Fortress Defense War (I)

Saine and the fortress magicians defended the western side of the Fortress Main Base against a massive Thunderfall World assault. After seven waves of magical bombardment, the invaders reached the fortress, and the slave legions charged to meet them.

  • Saine conserved the Magic Tower's power as he watched more than a hundred thousand Thunderfall World creatures approach the fortress's western side.
  • The fortress magicians sent Eyes of the Mage into the sky and used their Magic Towers to bombard the advancing Gass and other creatures.
  • Seven waves of magical attacks killed many invaders, but the Thunderfall World creatures continued advancing toward the fortress.
  • The fortress slaves charged into close combat with the invaders while the magicians continued firing from above.

Ch. 581Fortress Defense War (II)

Saine and the fortress defenders endured a prolonged assault by Thunderfall World creatures, with slave forces holding the front while the magicians rotated their spellcasting to recover. During his rest on the twelfth day, Saine used his projected Eye of Elements and saw that the Thunderfall World creatures had regrouped and were entangled in a major battle with Wizard World's advancing main force on Thunderfall Plain.

  • Thunderfall World creatures charged the fortress, and Wizard World’s slave forces held them back while the fortress’s magicians and defenses struck from behind the barriers.
  • By the seventh through ninth days, the magicians’ spellcasting weakened, so Combat Command arranged staggered rotations to let them rest.
  • By the tenth day, corpses had formed a wall beyond the camp, and more than two hundred thousand Thunderfall World creatures were attacking the fortress’s western side.
  • On the twelfth day, Saine rested from operating the Magic Tower and told Yuli to inspect the elemental arrays in the five towers.
  • Saine looked northeast with his projected Eye of Elements and saw the regrouped Thunderfall World creatures locked in a fierce battle with Wizard World’s main force.

Ch. 582Fortress Defense War (3)

Saine learned that nearly five hundred thousand Thunderfall World creatures were advancing on the fortress, with the northern and eastern defenses facing the greatest threat. At the western wall, an infused Blue-skinned Gas self-destructed to breach the defenses as the exhausted defenders rushed to seal the gap.

  • The Combat Command estimated that around two hundred thousand Thunderfall World creatures would attack the northern and eastern sides of the fortress, while about one hundred thousand might target Saine’s western position.
  • Saine reflected on how Thunderfall World’s vast, persistent forces had made the month-long Plane War a severe test, though the average strength of its creatures had declined as its elite fighters were worn down.
  • A wounded Blue-skinned Gas received Thunderfall Infusion, reached mid-to-late Level 2 strength, and then self-destructed beside the western fortress wall.
  • The explosion blasted a hole through the wall’s elemental barrier, prompting a Level-2 Earth Knight to transform into a Black Steel Bear and lead the effort to seal the breach.
  • Thunderfall World creatures continued opening breaches through self-destruction across the fortress, with the northern and eastern defenses facing even more intense attacks.
