After staying beneath that strange roar for too long, one would gradually develop a bizarre illusion: close your eyes, and it felt as though an enormous invisible iron ball was constantly rolling behind the pitch-black clouds.
Sometimes eastward, sometimes westward.
Whenever it crushed through that fragile shell of clouds, it would hurl its terrifying mass down upon the mortal world.
Torrential rain poured endlessly from the black clouds, blanketing the scorching desert, turning dry sand into muddy swamps, then freezing those muddy swamps into a frost-covered ice field.
Yet just one step beyond those black clouds lay a blazing heat and sun fierce enough to make one want to peel off their own skin.
Looking from outside in, the torrential rain and bone-chilling cold seemed like an illusion. Only after actually stepping inside could one feel the loneliness and terror of having been utterly abandoned by the entire world.
Wherever the rain spread, it seemed to have become another world.
Wind speed, temperature, terrain, even depth itself had been twisted by an invisible will, forming a dark domain like another realm—
That heavy curtain of rain and the mist lingering within it seemed alive. Even the howling wind could not stir them in the slightest. And after staring long enough into that dark world warped by rain and fog, one could vaguely glimpse blurred, fragmented shadows.
Like undead trapped within it, they wandered futilely, their despairing shrieks swallowed by the sound of rain.
The cold rain spread and roamed with the dark clouds, devouring every sound and trace of life in its path,
