It descended toward the earth, toward that solemn and holy city.

In merely three days, under the power of miracles, the city of Beatific Land had risen from hell itself. Within its heavily guarded fortress, the War Angels moved with grave discipline and perfect order, preparing for the counterattack to come.

And the instant the flying light descended, vast music began to resound.

Before long, a priest hurried out of the sanctuary and saluted the centurion outside.

"An urgent notice from Beatific Land."

The priest said solemnly, "An Archangel will soon arrive to inspect this place. Please make the necessary preparations."

"An inspection?"

The centurion was puzzled. "Why are there so many notices and alarms today?"

The priest's expression immediately darkened. He sneered. "Those foolish believers from the Obscure Eye are like rabid dogs, still refusing to let this go. At the slightest disturbance, they panic like startled birds, yet they still dare covet the Holy Lord's miracle. They truly overestimate themselves—do not dwell on it. Go make preparations first.

"The counterattack must not fail. Beatific Land is taking this place seriously as well."

"Yes."

The centurion nodded and turned to leave. Yet he had barely taken two steps when a thunderous boom erupted from the sanctuary behind him.

The bell rang again!

His steps halted. Looking back, he saw a pillar of holy light shoot up from the ground to pierce heaven and earth, leaving both men frozen where they stood.

Then, amid their brief astonishment, the bell rang once more, higher and more urgent than before.

Each peal came faster than the last.

Like the footsteps of a giant drawing ever closer, it made the priest and centurion straighten
