After three months of turmoil, Duoduo ultimately failed to escape the knife—after surgery, a single "Golden Core" was successfully removed. She lost all hope of becoming a demon, with no hope of attaining the Great Dao. Sad and lamentable.
And she was exhausted to death as well.
A weakling like me spent an entire day running around in Chengdu's scorching weather, then jogged home from the garage while carrying the dog. My arms felt completely useless. I collapsed into a chair and panted for ages, only able to go "ah-ba ah-ba"...
And that wasn't even an excuse.
Because the real reason was still writer's block...
The same old problem as before—there was clearly something before it and something after it, yet I just couldn't figure out the middle part no matter how hard I thought. No way of handling it felt quite right.
Allow me to think it over carefully.
Please forgive me, everyone.
I'll post limited-edition post-surgery Duoduo photos later.
P.S. The first Classical Poetry Recitation Contest in the Paradise Prince Fan Club group was successfully held today.
Congratulations to reader Hong Mao for winning first place in the "fierce" competition.
This time, the topic was lines of poetry containing the word "send." To encourage everyone's enthusiasm for learning, I decided that the champion's answer would be used as that day's chapter title.
The next time will have the same topic. Students in the group, please study classical culture diligently and achieve even better results!
