Ah, another volume.
Anyway, congratulations—we've taken another solid step toward the ending!
There are probably... one, two, three, four volumes left until the end? Hmm, that doesn't seem like much when I count it out. Even if I can't make it by the Gregorian New Year, I can at least make it by the Lunar New Year!
Anyway, I've survived the brink of disaster yet, yet, yet, yet again. The feeling is enough to bring tears to my eyes.
At last, I can finally answer what that major BUG I mentioned when I took leave was—so that the Piper's final appearance would feel justified, and to add conflict and contradictions, I had actually written out, in roughly six pages of manuscript, a long sequence of everyone's actions, decisions, and resulting consequences within the Regeneration Plan, arranged in order by keywords, ultimately leading to a struggle like fire and water, a battle born of ideals and positions...
Then I discovered a few problems.
First, if I wrote too much about the parts involving reality, these positions and ideals could very easily get me killed. This lousy book getting stabbed in the back by reality wasn't the first time. By now, I honestly couldn't tell which side was supposed to be the fantasy genre anymore...
Second, Huai Shi got targeted every single time. There was no gameplay experience at all.
And then, the most important third point—written like that, it just wasn't a goddamn web novel!
Seriously, who the hell cared about a bunch of supporting characters fighting over the Unified Bureau? And Feng Yue, what gave you the right to make readers pay for your own momentary creative impulse?
So, after recognizing the gap between reality and ideals, I realized that I simply didn't have enough ability to write this part
