When the Geese Are Gone, Letters Are Hard to Send; With So Much Sorrow, Dreams Won't Come
Before writing this leave request, I came up with several excuses.
Things like Chengdu starting self-service home isolation, nucleic acid test lines being too long, exhausting myself scrambling for groceries... that sort of thing.
But to be honest, I was stuck on the writing.
When you had insomnia, it felt like the pillow, blanket, mattress, even the hum of the air conditioner were all conspiring against you. Being unable to write was the same, if not even worse.
And it was still the beginning of the month, a crucial time for asking for votes.
There was not much plot left after this point, so I really should not have gotten stuck. But I adjusted the outline once before, which led to some minor trouble.
But I believe I can overcome it... probably... maybe... perhaps...?
I'm terribly sorry. I'm just a little done for.
Lastly, I wish everyone good health and green health codes every day.
The pandemic really is terrifying.
PS: Congratulations to reader Feng Yue for winning first place in the group's Second Classical Poetry Competition. I hope those who were not selected will not be discouraged either—keep it up, there will be plenty more chances.
I believe that before the story ends, I'll be able to use up every classical poem containing the character "寄"!
Probably...
