"Wait!"
Raymond came to his senses and tried to salvage the situation. "...I... well, I was joking."
How had they suddenly reached a consensus?
He was an innocent, hardworking tool, the dignified Sun Rider. How could he possibly think along the same lines as that bastard Huai Shi?
Impossible. Absolutely impossible!
"It's feasible." Yuan Yuan nodded.
"To be fair, it really is." Gregory voiced his agreement.
"Yeah, yeah, the Legion Commander is wise!"
Lin Zhongxiaowu sighed. "Since you, the acting Legion Commander, have already made the proposal, military orders are absolute. We have nothing more to say but to obey."
"I'll release the Iron Crows to scout."
He rose and departed.
"I'll prepare the ritual." Gregory nodded in farewell.
"I'll gather the manpower again."
Yuan Yuan stood up without hesitation.
"I'll urge the engineering crew to speed up the repairs." Nemet saluted and left.
"I... I..." Julian stood there blankly for a long while, then slapped his forehead as he remembered. "I'll go fix the eyes!"
"Hey, hey!"
A few seconds later, Raymond sat dumbfounded in a chair that had not even warmed up yet, staring at the desolate conference room. Something felt deeply wrong.
"Caw!"
An Iron Crow, dragged over as the swarm's representative, was still sitting in a chair and cawed at Raymond.
Beside him, Anna translated, "It says, 'Holy indeed.'"
"You don't need to translate that!" Raymond sighed weakly.
"Caw! Caw!" The Iron Crow flapped its wings and continued cawing.
"It says, 'Big guy, I am gratified that you can remember our god's teachings.'" Anna continued translating. "'Our god has spoken: grow bigger and stronger, create greater glory once more!'"
"I said you don't need to translate it!"
Raymond's expression twitched. It was as though he saw Huai Shi turn into a translucent ghost, grinning at him.
