In the long silence, Huai Shi stared at her blankly. After a long while, he asked in confusion, "What the hell?"
"The main quest."
"There was such a thing?" Huai Shi's eyes widened. "I've never even seen you issue a side quest!"
"Isn't this easier for you to understand... Uncle Fang, I want Happy Water, and grilled chicken wings!"
She had only just returned home, yet she was not polite in the slightest. She sprawled directly onto the couch and started ordering late-night snacks, even pulling out half a bag of chips she had no idea when she had hidden in the cabinet.
She had shrunk quite a bit all over.
She was almost becoming chibi.
"I went on such a long trip, I'm exhausted, what a pain." Tong Ji rolled around on the couch. "Home is still the best. You can eat and sleep, and there's all the Happy Water you could want."
"..."
Huai Shi numbly held his cup and took a sip without expression.
He really did not want to remind her...
This was fucking his house!
Rolling his eyes, he asked, "So, did you get anything from your trip?"
"Not a damn thing. The outside world is so cold, even the Happy Water is flat. Only Uncle Fang's grilled chicken wings are warm." Tong Ji lay prone on the couch, watching Uncle Fang operate the oven in the kitchen and rubbing her hands together expectantly.
Huai Shi had initially wanted to ask whether she could think about anything besides food.
But after considering it, he realized that she actually could.
To keep her from setting her sights on anything else, he could only force the conversation back on track. "So, the main quest. What exactly is the main quest?"
"It's about our grand undertaking of advancing!"
