The prelude to Symphony No. 5 began.
At the opening, "Fate" sounded—but there was no fourth note.
The force unleashed with each stacking increase grew exponentially. With Huai Shi's current mastery of resonance, he still could not withstand the backlash when the fourth note rang.
But threefold Fate Knocking was enough to grievously wound the attacker lurking in the shadows.
Using himself as a fulcrum and resonating outward, the force he levered up had already exceeded the limits of Huai Shi's control. It was as though the entire graveyard had turned into a giant, suddenly leapt up, pinned him down with two punches, then jumped into the air and stomped on him with all its weight!
If he had possessed a body of flesh and blood, he would probably have been blown apart in an instant.

Before he could hit the ground, Hatewater roared.
Huai Shi's blood gathered around Hatewater, transforming into overlapping whirlpools. As they ground against one another, they produced a shrill, piercing howl, forming a chainsaw like a wheel.
In an instant, it carved downward.
The attacker did not even have time to scream before he was severed at the waist!
Yet after hitting the ground, the broken corpse did not roll away. Instead, it burst like a bubble, scattering into dissipating shadows and vanishing without a trace.
Dead?
No, it was bait!
And within the darkness, a dim shadow had already become a silent flood, swallowing Huai Shi's shadow.
A bizarre figure rose out of it from thin air.
Seizing the brief gap after his attack had run its course, six arms lashed out. Black blades came chopping down like a rainstorm, sealing every inch of space Huai Shi could have
