The End of Eternity (Part 1)

That was not an empty figure of speech, but its literal meaning.

The instant Baldr shared his soul, Huai Shi's shell let out an indescribable wail. His Stigmata trembled, and his soul began to fracture.

He could barely maintain his sense of self.

The moment that will from a god descended, mortals became as insignificant as weeds.

A human shell had no means of bearing a god's will. Even Huai Shi's body, endowed with divinity, could hardly sustain the soul of the King of Light.

In an instant, it began to rapidly turn transparent, radiating pure and dazzling light.

His consciousness seemed to merge into that light, breaking free of the constraints and limits of his shell as it spread in every direction.

Racing, spreading, enveloping everything at the speed of light.

All things and phenomena kept flooding into his soul. His consciousness had no way to contain them and could only passively serve as a hub, pouring that immense volume of information into the Book of Destiny.

The Book of Destiny rapidly grew thicker, recording these utterly meaningless observational data in milliseconds.

Soon, the Book of Destiny reacted before his soul did, beginning to clear away the redundant data. After instantly digesting it, it instead enveloped Huai Shi's soul, preserving the integrity of his consciousness.
