Ch. 581Dominate Skeleton

Abel studied the Orc Priest manuscript and found a way to draw the Dominate Skeleton Spell Pattern inside his Druidic sub-soul without letting death qi harm him. He still needed a source of sufficiently concentrated death qi, and his attempts to extract it from a Skeleton Gem failed.

  • Abel rejected the Skeleton Revival spell and studied the Dominate Skeleton spell in the Orc Priest manuscript.
  • Abel tried drawing the Dominate Skeleton Spell Pattern in his Druidic sub-soul, but its green vitality immediately dissipated the pattern.
  • Abel used a Soul Potion to simulate repeated attempts and discovered that strengthening the death qi let the pattern persist in the sub-soul.
  • Abel consumed two Satiety Potions to recover from the energy his experiment had used.
  • Abel tried to draw death qi from a Skeleton Gem, failed, and left the Isolation Array to go to the dining hall.

Ch. 582Death Qi Eruption

Abel discovered that the Miracle Wall’s nightly death qi eruption was channeled into wizard rooms for purification, but he found he could absorb it safely to rapidly strengthen his Dominate Skeleton spell. His absorption ended the eruption early, though he remained unaware that another wizard had noticed the weakened flow.

  • Abel finished dinner in the Miracle Wall and learned that its dining table used magical materials and teleportation arrays.
  • At seven in the evening, Abel sensed a massive eruption of death qi and realized his mission required him to suppress its negative emotions.
  • Abel recognized the dense death qi as a chance to strengthen Dominate Skeleton and guided it into his Druidic sub-soul, where the spell’s level rose rapidly.
  • A wizard in a nearby room purified the negative emotions with mental power and noticed that the death qi flow was weakening unusually fast.
  • For six hours, Abel absorbed the death qi and cleansed its negative emotions, causing the eruption to end ahead of schedule.

Ch. 583Max-Level Dominate Skeleton

Abel’s Druidic sub-soul transformed the death qi he absorbed into transparent energy, allowing him to raise Dominate Skeleton to its maximum level during his month at the Miracle Wall. After completing his garrison mission, he planned to return home and test the spell alongside Skeleton Revival in the Dark World.

  • After six hours of absorbing death qi, Abel’s Druidic sub-soul saw its life force and death qi clash before transparent energy converted both.
  • The following day, Abel found Dominate Skeleton had reached level ten and began absorbing more death qi, which transformed automatically into transparent energy.
  • Abel spent the rest of the month cultivating at the Miracle Wall, raising Dominate Skeleton to its maximum level while the Miracle Spirit failed to detect his use of the death qi.
  • Abel completed his garrison mission, received 10 battle achievement points, and reached a total of 23.4 points.
  • Abel returned to the Mission Hall and planned to test max-level Dominate Skeleton with max-level Skeleton Revival in the Dark World.

Ch. 584The Changing Oak Tree

After returning from the Miracle Wall, Abel agreed to join K3305’s expedition to the Budapest Mountains and visited Rogue Encampment to check on the oak and his strengthened Ghost Guardian Knights. He left the Dark World satisfied with the knights’ improved strength and returned to his residence in Miracle City.

  • K3305 invited Abel to join a team traveling to the Budapest Mountains to obtain a fresh core, and Abel agreed.
  • Abel returned to residence A09, traveled to Rogue Encampment, and discovered the oak had gained the power to channel life and death energy.
  • Abel collected fresh cores and stored them for later use.
  • Abel summoned his Ghost Guardian Knights in Lut Gholein and tested their improved durability and combat power against Burning Death Archers.
  • Abel left the Dark World and returned to his training room in Miracle City.

Ch. 585Complete the Exchange

Abel exchanged a Knight Greatsword for battle-credit items from Grand Knight Commander Bodley and added a magic shield to make the deal fair. He then tested whether his changed Druidic sub-soul could still learn spells, and the Firestorm pattern glowed green when he channeled energy into it.

  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley visited Abel and gave him more than three hundred small skeletons and twenty-five Bone Space Items in exchange for a Knight Greatsword.
  • Abel added a magic shield to the exchange, explaining that he considered the trade between friends fair, and Bodley left pleased with the deal.
  • Abel examined his Druidic sub-soul and found that its soul space had changed from green to a color of nothingness, though its summoning contracts and skill marks remained intact.
  • Abel drew the Firestorm Spell Pattern and channeled transparent energy from his Druidic sub-soul into it, causing the pattern to emit green light.

Ch. 586The Druid Sub-Soul's Advancement (Revised)

Abel tested Druid spells and discovered that his Druid sub-soul had reached level nine, though he failed to activate Hurricane Armor. After arranging to join K3305 on an expedition to the Budapest Mountains, he prepared to leave the next morning.

  • Abel used the Horadric Cube's skill tree to record Firestorm and successfully dispersed the forming spell.
  • Abel learned Polar Storm and crushed its storm core before the spell could form.
  • Abel failed to activate Hurricane Armor and realized his Druid sub-soul had cultivated to level nine by absorbing death energy.
  • Abel relaxed in his courtyard, then confirmed to K3305 that he would join the expedition the next morning.
  • K3305 told Abel to meet at the armory at eight and rent stags for the journey to a destination three days from Miracle City.

Ch. 587Gathering

Abel joined K3305’s squad as they prepared to hunt a Blazing Violent Bear at Lake Zifei. Grand Knight Commander Bodley revealed that Abel’s new equipment had made him confident he could defeat the beast.

  • Abel arrived at the Armory and met K3305, K3308, Grand Knight Commander Bodley, Grand Knight Commander Markham, and the guides Joel and Basil.
  • K3305 introduced the mission to hunt a Blazing Violent Bear near Lake Zifei, and Markham warned that it was exceptionally strong for a low-grade spirit beast.
  • Bodley said Abel’s weapons had greatly increased his strength, and he showed the squad his Iron Essence magical shield forged by Grandmaster Abel.
  • Abel learned that Markham had joined to guard K3308, whose identity was significant enough to warrant a bodyguard.
  • Bodley declared that he could unleash a Grand Knight Commander’s Charge if given the chance to strike ten to fifteen times.

Ch. 588Kobold Scout

Abel and his companions entered the Western Budapest Mountains, where he killed a lone kobold scout and discovered through the trees that orcs were pursuing Basil. Grand Knight Commander Bodley led the group to rescue him, and they found Basil wounded with Wolf Riders closing in.

  • K3305 explained the dangers and hunting grounds of the Budapest Mountains, while K3308 warned that any orcs there would be dangerous.
  • Abel shot a kobold scout hidden in a tree, and Grand Knight Commander Bodley realized the scout likely belonged to a group of orcs.
  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley sent Joel and Basil to scout the surroundings and prepared the others for a possible fight.
  • Abel used Spirit Speaker to learn from nearby trees that Wolf Riders were pursuing Basil, then told Grand Knight Commander Bodley where he was.
  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley led the knights and Sorceresses toward Basil, whom they found wounded on his warhorse as the Wolf Riders rapidly gained on him.

Ch. 589Intelligence

Abel and Grand Knight Commander Bodley’s squad defeated five Wolf Riders and treated Basil with Abel’s powerful Healing Potion. After Basil reported a nearby hundred-man Orc unit with Bearmen, Bodley favored fighting while Markham warned that the encounter was too dangerous, leaving the squad facing a difficult choice.

  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley killed the leading Wolf Rider, and Abel stopped another from howling before Bodley finished off the remaining riders.
  • Grand Knight Commander Markham treated Basil with Abel’s Blue Quality Healing Potion, which rapidly sealed his wound.
  • Basil warned the squad that a hundred-man Wolf Rider unit with several Bear Clan members was nearby.
  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley asked about Abel’s strength, and Abel said Grand Knight Commander-level opponents posed little threat to him.
  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley proposed fighting the Orc unit, while Grand Knight Commander Markham argued they should relocate; Markham recognized that the Orcs’ Kobolds and Werewolves made escape unlikely.

Ch. 590Stone Fortress Defense

Grand Knight Commander Bodley led the group to a defensible boulder as the orcs tracked them, and Abel prepared a defensive array and lent K3305 and K3308 protective items. When an orc squad arrived, Abel revealed a siege crossbow and armor-piercing bolts, confident he could defeat them without exposing his full strength.

  • Basil called Joel back, and Joel pointed out a tall boulder where the group could avoid being surrounded but would have to fight to the death.
  • Abel warned that the orcs were tracking them, so Bodley hurried everyone to the boulder and ordered the sorceresses to set up defenses.
  • Abel raised a primary Defense Array around the boulder and lent passive magical defensive items to K3305 and K3308.
  • Bodley positioned Joel and Basil beside the sorceresses, and the group spotted an orc squad with Wolf Riders, six bear people, and two Kobolds.
  • Abel confirmed the Miracle Spirit could not observe their location, then took out a siege crossbow and armor-piercing bolts from his Empty Spirit Beast Bag.

Ch. 591A Three-for-One Shot (Revised)

Abel used a city ballista to ambush an approaching Orc hundred-man unit, killing three orcs with one shot and forcing the rest to retreat. The orcs regrouped behind Bear Clan warriors’ massive shields and advanced again, leaving K3308 to ask whether the ballista could pierce them.

  • Abel explained that the city ballista was not subject to the Dwarf race’s restrictions because it had been traded before those rules took effect.
  • Abel fired an Armor-piercing Crossbow Bolt from five hundred meters away, killing a Bear Clan warrior and two Wolf Riders with one shot.
  • The surviving orcs recognized the city ballista and withdrew beyond its range, while Bodley, Markham, and the others realized Abel had fired it.
  • Abel reloaded the ballista, but the orcs reorganized behind three Bear Clan warriors’ shields and advanced again.
  • K3308 asked Abel whether the city ballista could pierce the Bear Clan warriors’ enormous iron shields.

Ch. 592Arcing Arrow

Abel used an Arcing Arrow to shoot around Grand Knight Commander Bodley and inflict heavy losses on the Orc centurial unit. The Wolf Riders then scattered to bypass the two Grand Knight Commanders and attack Abel on the boulder, intent on capturing the ballista.

  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley charged the Orc formation to break open its iron-shield wall and create an opportunity for Abel to fire.
  • Abel curved an Armor-piercing Crossbow Bolt around Bodley and the front-row shields, killing a bear-man and two Wolf Riders and badly wounding three more.
  • Bodley struck a bear-man’s shield with his Iron Essence Knight Greatsword, denting it, while another bear-man attacked him with a battle axe.
  • Grand Knight Commander Markham charged in and slowed the bear-men with his ice-element combat aura as Bodley held his ground.
  • The Wolf Riders scattered on their commander’s order, and Abel’s next Arcing Arrow killed three more of them.
  • The Wolf Riders rushed toward the boulder to seize Abel’s ballista, leaving the two Grand Knight Commanders to the bear-men.

Ch. 593Madness

Abel killed a Great Wolf Rider Commander with the city crossbow, provoking the Wolf Riders into a furious assault. As the Defense Array came under pressure, Abel mounted a dire wolf and prepared to fight with spells while keeping his identity concealed.

  • Abel fired an Armor-piercing Crossbow Bolt along an S-shaped path and killed the Great Wolf Rider Commander.
  • The Wolf Riders and four bear-men went berserk, while K3305 and K3308 attacked the charging Wolf Riders as the Defense Array weakened.
  • Abel put away the city crossbow, told the others to stay on the boulder, and leaped onto an unattended dire wolf.
  • Abel used a trace of Dragon Might to make the dire wolf obey him, astonishing K3305, K3308, and the two High-level Warriors.
  • Abel cast Flame Enhancement on himself and used the Word of Power Leaf to begin casting level-fifteen Charged Bullet spells against the Wolf Rider Captains.

Ch. 594The Lamb

Abel used lightning spells and a Light Longsword to defeat the Wolf Riders, then subdued their direwolves for his family’s future knights. He claimed the Direwolf King as his mount.

  • Abel paralyzed the Wolf Riders with lightning arcs and killed them as he rode past on a direwolf.
  • K3305 watched Abel cast spells while moving and fighting with a sword, then realized Abel’s lightning affinity made the fighting style possible.
  • Abel killed the remaining Wolf Riders and saluted them, while leaving the direwolves unharmed.
  • Abel spread Dragon Might across the battlefield, forcing the direwolves to submit.
  • The Direwolf King resisted briefly before lowering its head, and Abel stroked it with satisfaction.

Ch. 595Victory and Spoils

Abel and the human Grand Knight Commanders defeated an Orc squad, with Abel’s combat skills proving decisive. After the battle, he offered to share some spoils and Direwolves in exchange for Priest skeletons and Bone Space Items.

  • Bodley and Markham overwhelmed the four bear-men, but three arrows from Abel killed the ones who tried to flee.
  • Abel searched the Great Wolf Rider Commander’s corpse and found an Empty Spirit Beast Bag containing Orc materials and Magic Stones.
  • K3305 thanked Abel for joining the operation, while K3308 asked to buy one of Abel’s Direwolves.
  • Abel offered each companion a Direwolf and let them divide the Magic Stones, but Bodley insisted that the spoils belonged to Abel under battlefield rules.
  • Abel offered K3308 a Direwolf in exchange for Priest skeletons and Bone Space Items, and K3308 agreed to provide them when they returned to Miracle City.

Ch. 596Adventurers

After the battle, Abel arranged for Batorri to take the captured direwolves to Abel Castle and continued traveling with Grand Knight Commander Bodley’s group. When scouts spotted a human Adventuring Team ahead, Bodley ordered everyone into battle formation.

  • K3308 chose a direwolf, and Abel allowed him to form a magical contract with it.
  • Abel summoned Batorri, who led more than forty direwolves toward Abel Castle for Maxi to manage.
  • Grand Knight Commander Bodley asked everyone to keep Abel’s battle strength confidential, and Grand Knight Commander Markham promised K3308 would keep quiet.
  • Abel gave K3308 a clean set of direwolf tack, and the group resumed its journey with Abel riding the Direwolf King.
  • Joel and Basil spotted a human Adventuring Team ahead, so Grand Knight Commander Bodley ordered the group into battle formation.

Ch. 597People Die for Wealth

Ch. 600Refined Through a Hundred Forgings

Abel spared Grand Knight Commander Kregi and Young Master Anthony after learning about the Brown Family, but then uncovered a suspicious cache of Hundred Refined Iron in Anthony’s spatial bag. Grand Knight Commander Bodley accused Kregi of dishonor, and Kregi demanded to know why.

  • Abel asked about the Brown Family and chose to spare Kregi, telling him where to find Wizard K3516 if he wanted revenge.
  • As Kregi and Anthony prepared to leave, Abel stopped them, pulled Kregi from his horse, and threw Anthony to the ground after realizing he had been deceived.
  • Abel gave Anthony’s spatial bag to Bodley, who found it filled with Hundred Refined Iron.
  • Bodley recognized the iron’s value to human weapons and became furious at the possibility that it was being taken toward the Orc Empire.
