On Kun-Lai Summit, a chubby Pandaren was leading a group of adventurers from other continents through the endless snowy mountains.
"Don't worry, the Mogu underground palace you're looking for is nearby. We agreed that you can take the treasures, but don't touch the cultural texts and antiques. They're of great use to our Shaohao Dynasty... Oh, look, we're here."
Zhou Zhuo pointed toward a mountain ravine not far below. Looking in that direction, the group saw a superbly concealed Mogu structure.
Yet something about the place was rather strange. There was no snow in front of the massive gate to this underground palace, which had been built against the mountain and was more than ninety percent embedded within it.
Had someone arrived before them? That was truly strange.
The adventurers, meanwhile, rubbed their hands eagerly. After poring over a great deal of Pandaren literature, these seasoned veterans had roughly identified several secret underground palaces that had likely served as treasure vaults for the former Mogu Empire.
Come on, grave robbing and taking money from the dead—what was so bad about that? They were taking it out to benefit the people.
Guided by this "noble" ideal, one of the lucky adventurers had specifically invited this Pandaren scholar named Zhou Zhuo to lead them and show them the way. This knowledgeable Pandaren had met the lucky adventurer while the latter was doing bounty quests in The Jade Forest. The adventurer had also helped Zhou Zhuo quite a bit for free, so after considering the invitation again and again, Zhou Zhuo agreed.
Of course, they could only take treasure. The other old relics, artifacts, and ancient books were off-limits.
