The chaotic war on the Pandaria Continent continued.
Both the Alliance and the Horde had their own agendas. Their second elite forces had now begun their respective operations, heading in directions completely different from the main expeditionary armies, with equally vastly different objectives.
The Alliance's second elite force was led by "White Pawn," and Prince Anduin regarded this journey to the Pandaria Continent as a trial that would help him grow and mature.
However, after arriving on the Pandaria Continent, Anduin found that the Pandaren way of life—unruffled by turmoil, calm at heart, and sparing with violence—suited his personal tastes very well. Thus, this diplomatic and training journey gained a new purpose as well: visiting famous mountains and seeking out great masters. Prince Anduin now carried that goal too.
He led his force, which resembled more of an envoy delegation and private royal guard, into The Jade Forest, where he established friendly diplomatic contact with the local native race, the Jinyu.
The Jinyu were as ancient a race as the Pandaren, but they were far less adept at getting things done. Thus, despite producing many talented individuals, their overall development had always been rather lackluster.
They had evolved from primitive fish-like creatures. Though their survival still depended on lakes and oceans, they were now fully capable of leaving the water and establishing civilized towns on land.
Although Yu'lon the Jade Serpent, one of Pandaria's August Celestials, had recently worked with the Shaohao Dynasty's elite Monk forces to reclaim the Temple of the Jade Serpent and kill the Doubt of Sha lurking deep within it, slaughtering over ninety percent of the Sha, thereby restoring peace to The Jade Forest as a whole, the Jinyu still suffered occasional harassment from the remaining Sha.
But the Sha were not much of a concern.
