The boy turned around. When he saw who had come, he froze for a moment before quickly sitting up and saying,
"Of course."
Qiao Sang hadn't expected him to be someone she knew.
Calling him an acquaintance wasn't quite right. They were merely in the same class, familiar by sight, yet they had never exchanged a single word.
Judging by his expression, he clearly remembered her too.
Qiao Sang smiled. "Thank you."
As she spoke, she took out her campus card and pressed it against the chip area. A ten-inch virtual screen immediately appeared beside it.
The location displayed on it was the Climate Hall where they currently were.
Once she tapped into it, the hall's control panel appeared.
While Qiao Sang adjusted the indoor climate, Hugh Lewis discreetly glanced at the pet beast he didn't recognize, as well as the Little Steel Falcon beside it.
Then he seemed to realize something and couldn't help asking,
"You contracted a Little Steel Falcon?"
"Not yet." Qiao Sang operated the panel as she spoke. "But soon."
"Why would you want to contract a Little Steel Falcon?" Hugh Lewis asked directly, completely disregarding the fact that the Little Steel Falcon was listening right beside him.
The Little Steel Falcon glanced at him, thinking, Stupid human. Of course she's interested in my body and brains.
"Isn't a Little Steel Falcon pretty good? It has both defense and offense, and it's smart too," Qiao Sang said.
The moment she finished speaking, the temperature in the hall plummeted, and the light snowfall instantly turned into a blizzard.
Hugh Lewis shivered and swiftly burrowed back under his blanket. Looking at the girl beside him, he was just about to ask if she wasn't cold.
Before he could say it, Qiao Sang spoke to the air beside her.
