The Magnetic Fierce Rat darted into the corner of the cage with a terrified shriek.
The person in the inner room turned over and continued sleeping, paying it no mind.
The Magnetic Fierce Rat had been making quite a commotion these past two days. The person in the inner room had gone from being annoyed at first to being completely used to it now.
Those people had specifically found someone to purchase freshly captured pet beasts as ingredients, valuing healthy, fresh ingredients above all else.
It was good that it was making noise. Noise meant the Magnetic Fierce Rat was still lively. Otherwise, if it became all listless, it could easily be returned.
The Magnetic Fierce Rat huddled in the corner of the cage, trembling.
It remembered its mother saying that ghost creatures were even more terrifying than the Spike Tail Lizard on the mountain.
Its grandfather's grandfather had been cursed by a Ghost Type pet beast and turned into a female Magnetic Fierce Rat. That had left its grandfather's grandfather depressed all day long, and he had eventually chosen to leave his hometown.
Was it going to change genders too?!
Even if it returned to the mountain, no one would recognize it anymore!
Just as the Magnetic Fierce Rat was on the verge of tears and letting its imagination run wild, the bottle of milk could not be passed through the cage bars and suddenly vanished again.
Before the Magnetic Fierce Rat could start celebrating, the milk abruptly appeared inside the cage.

The Magnetic Fierce Rat's cries cut off abruptly. It stared blankly at the small ghost creature before it.
It didn't seem as terrifying as Mother had said...
