After Su Qiao finished eating, she did not return to her room right away. Instead, she took Little Yue'er by the hand and went into the courtyard.
She had promised to weave him a beautiful bamboo cage.
Little Yue'er moved a small stool to one side and sat down, holding the two little rabbits. He did not move a muscle the entire time.
Smiling sweetly, Su Qiao wove the cage while quietly chatting with him.
At first, Little Yue'er was timid and did not dare speak, but soon his lively nature revealed itself.
Before long, a beautiful little bamboo cage was finished.
Su Qiao untied the strings around the two rabbits' feet, put them into the small cage, closed the door, and placed it back in his arms.
"All done. Isn't it pretty?"
Stars seemed to flicker in Little Yue'er's small phoenix-shaped eyes. "Pretty."
Su Qiao smiled and rubbed his little head.
"It's getting late. Little Yue'er, go find Grandpa. Children need to eat and sleep more so they can grow tall and strong."
"Mm-hmm." Little Yue'er's little eyes shone brightly as he nodded obediently.
After carrying the little cage for two steps, he suddenly turned around again and finally revealed a brilliant smile. "Thank you, Mother."
Su Qiao smiled and waved her hand. "No need to thank me."
Only after watching him enter the main room did Su Qiao clap her hands and return to her own room.
The moment she closed the door, she immediately noticed that something was wrong.
