Su Qiao opened the lid, and several people crowded around. Inside, they found some pale-yellow, translucent crystals that looked quite pretty.
"Sis, what is this? Can we eat it?" Little Haozi picked one up and played with it in his hand.
"This is resin. It's formed from the sap that flows out of pine tree trunks. I saw it while playing in the mountains before and thought it looked pretty, so I brought it back."
The truth was that the original owner had thought this stuff was a gemstone that she could exchange for candy at the peddler's, which was why she had picked it up.
