"Which hospital? How are you now? Are your injuries serious? I'll come over right now!"
"City Hospital, but it isn't me. Something happened to them."
"Really not you?" Jiang Jinghao asked, still somewhat doubtful.
"Yeah. His mother got food poisoning after eating the seafood he bought for lunch."
Su Qiao talked on the phone while looking at herself in the mirror.
She didn't really like this long, straight black hair.
She was already thin and frail-looking, with features that were a little too soft. Paired with long, straight black hair, she looked exactly like someone who would be easy to bully.
"Serves him right!"
Jiang Jinghao cursed under his breath.
"Bao'er, has he hit you at all these past few days?"
"No." He wasn't merely thinking about abusing her anymore. He was thinking about getting rid of her.
"You must keep that stun baton with you at all times. Don't let your guard down."
Just because he hadn't laid a hand on her these past two days didn't mean he wouldn't do it again later.
