Poison Mist Forest was home to many venomous snakes and poisonous insects. The soil there was red, and the beasts in the forest were more or less poisonous as well.
The meat of those beasts couldn't be eaten at all, so hardly anyone ever went there.
Su Qiao glanced at him. "I'm looking for a kind of medicine."
She had searched every forest nearby for Shapeshifting Grass, but hadn't found any.
She could only go farther, to more remote places.
Han's brows drew tightly together. For once, he showed a serious, disapproving expression.
"That place is dangerous. What does the medicine you're looking for look like? Tell me, and I'll go find it."
"If you go alone, I'm afraid I'll have to go rescue you later."
Su Qiao stood up and stretched lazily, then patted his back. "Let's go back. You don't need to stand guard for me. No one, not even a beast, dares enter my cave. I scattered medicine at the entrance before going to sleep tonight."
"I wasn't standing guard for you. The cave was just stuffy at night, so I slept outside."
Han glowered and turned to walk out of the cave.
If one hadn't looked carefully, one really wouldn't have noticed that even his face beneath the white fur he was hiding had turned red.
Su Qiao smiled slyly and teased him, "All right, you slept by my entrance because you were hot. My entrance is cooler."
Han had already reached the entrance. Hearing that, he broke into a run and vanished in the blink of an eye.
He ran off.
Weren't you afraid of driving him away again?
"Then I'll just catch him and bring him back."
Su Qiao was a little tired. She collapsed onto the bed and let out a comfortable sigh.
