Su Xinran could no longer tell whether what she had said was true or false. After the transmitter had been debugged, Su Qiao had handed it directly to Li Huaiyu instead of letting it pass through her hands again.
"So everything you said to me and Li Huaiyu before was a lie?"
Su Qiao snorted nonchalantly. "You two kept bothering me again and again. I had no choice but to come up with a way to fob you off. You can't blame me for that."
"You...?" Su Xinran had never expected that Su Qiao had been playing her and Li Huaiyu all along. She was so angry that she could only point at her, unable to speak.
Su Qiao, however, remained as calm as if nothing had happened. "What's wrong? You're so frantic. Did something happen?"
Su Xinran's expression stiffened at once. Thinking of how serious the matter was, she could only take a deep breath and temporarily suppress her anger.

As she spoke, she rose and walked toward the kitchen. "It's getting late. I made some food. Stay and have lunch before you go!"
