After the two left, Su Qiao lay back down on the sofa, sighed a couple of times, and closed her eyes.
But before long, the security department called to say that someone outside was looking for her.
What was going on today?
Why were so many people looking for her?
Su Qiao decided not to sleep there after all. She took off her white lab coat and changed into her own clothes: a simple white shirt, black cargo pants, and short boots. She grabbed her incredibly roomy black backpack and strode out.
"Where are they?"
Hadn't they said someone was looking for her?
Su Qiao searched the concrete area in front of the Research Lab for a long while but saw no one. She turned and asked the security staff.
A security guard pointed toward the park in front of the Research Lab. "He said he was waiting for you on the lawn over there. He's a man, quite tall, dressed in black casual clothes and wearing a hat. You can't miss him."
Wearing a hat?
It probably wasn't him.
"Okay, thanks."
Su Qiao gave a slight nod and strode in that direction.
Before her foot even touched the lawn, she was so startled that she nearly turned around and left.
The man in the hat indeed wasn't Renault, but he was one of Renault's subordinates.
At that moment, the man was dressed in a somewhat flowing white embroidered Tang Suit, and he was holding a bouquet of flowers that looked as though they had been made from transparent purple crystal. Bathed in sunlight, even his profile alone was enough to make people stare.
The two men were standing in the middle of the lawn, chatting about something while occasionally glancing toward the park entrance.
