Du Muhan followed Su Xiyan in and reached out to take the briefcase from Su Qiao's hand. "Can we go?"
Su Qiao nodded.
"Let's go. We'll head back and cook." It was almost dark, and it was already time to get off work.
Du Muhan glanced toward Tao Junhui, then naturally put an arm around Su Qiao's shoulders. "What do you want to eat tonight?"
"Let's see if there are any fresh shrimp later."
"You're craving seafood?"
Su Qiao had just reached the door and was about to nod when she heard a piercing remark from behind.
The voice wasn't loud, but she wasn't far away. How could she possibly not hear it?
She pushed Du Muhan away, turned around, and walked coldly toward Su Xiyan. "Say that again?"
Su Xiyan was already filled with hatred and fury toward Su Qiao, so she wasn't afraid at all. "You think I don't dare?"
"I said one of you is a pervert and the other is a monster. Birds of a feather flock together—you're a match made in heaven."
Su Qiao didn't bother answering her. She raised her hand and slapped her twice, leaving her dizzy and staggering backward onto a hospital bed not far away.
"Hmph. No matter how strange she is, she still can't compare to a woman like you who uses her own boyfriend as a shield. No wonder Tao Junhui is scared of you. I bet any man would be scared if he were in his place."
Du Muhan walked over and carefully lifted Su Qiao's hand, gently rubbing it. "Why didn't you tell me before you hit her? What if you hurt your hand?"
Then he turned to Su Xiyan, his eyes becoming as devoid of human emotion as a robot's. "Aren't you tired of living like
