As she thought this, Su Qiao sighed, finally stored the sword in her hand in her space, then rose and turned over the corpses to search the belongings they carried.
Their outfits were similar to those of the team they belonged to. They wore smartwatch-like intelligent communicators on their wrists, and around their necks hung copper-plate necklaces made of metal, engraved with the words Divine Eagle Squad and their names.
"These must be the Ability Team that came here a week before us to scout the area. I didn't expect them to die here."
They had probably been wiped out. There were several more ejected sleep pods in the caves over there. I figured they'd simply had bad luck and happened to land in this cluster of Underground Caves, where they were then killed by Mutated Animals or Mutated Humans.
Su Qiao frowned. "Mutated Animals and Mutated Humans leave corpses behind?"
444 didn't find this strange at all.
He had probably been frightened by the man lying in the coffin over there. His Mental Power was terrifyingly strong; even without deliberately attacking, he would emit a wave of energy. Ordinary animals had an instinctive ability to sense extremely dangerous things.
Also, I took a look just now. The caves down here are all connected, and I don't know where they lead.
