"Chu Yihan, where are you going?"
Su Qiao hurried after him and blocked the man who looked like a wandering ghost.
Chu Yihan was forced to stop. His eyes turned slowly as he stared blankly at the person before him. "You... who are you?"
"No way. It hasn't been that long since we last met, and you don't even recognize me anymore?"
He couldn't have found a new lover, could he?
He probably didn't.
Then... was he sick?
She reached out and pinched his gaunt cheek. "How did you get so thin? You're not as handsome as you used to be."
Feeling the warmth of the hand playing with his face, Chu Yihan seemed to wake suddenly from a dream. "You... are you real?"
Su Qiao wondered if he had burned himself stupid with a fever. She picked up his hand and placed it against her cheek. "Of course I'm real. If you don't believe me, feel for yourself."
"It's... warm. Alive... alive..." Chu Yihan stared blankly at her, stroking her face again and again.
Su Qiao was utterly bewildered by him.
"Of course I'm alive. Why are you cursing me the moment we meet?"
Chu Yihan finally confirmed it. She was really still alive.
His nose stung, and tears immediately streamed down his face. He grabbed her and hugged her tightly. "You little brat, where the hell did you go? Do you know how worried I was when I couldn't find you?"
"Do you know how worried and miserable I was... I thought you were dead. I thought you'd abandoned me and didn't want me anymore. You heartless little brat, just how heartless could you be?"
Su Qiao was startled by him.
She had returned perfectly fine, so why was he still crying?
