After the defeated army returned to camp, Modun quickly passed down the order to pack up and prepare to move. However, relocating so many people and livestock obviously could not be done in a single day. Everyone had been fleeing for several days and needed to rest, at the very least.
Modun did not pay much attention to this. In his view, merely dealing with the prisoners of war and spoils would keep the Han Tribe busy for quite some time. No matter how fast they were, they could not possibly catch up within two days. As for what happened after two days, he would have taken his people and fled long before then.
In the main camp beside the lake, some of the men who had escaped back were resting in their tents, while others had gone out to graze the herds. Some women and children were packing up the household goods in preparation for the move. The worst off were the families whose men had died in battle.
