Wait.
What did that mean?
Could the Red Room of this universe still exist? But how was that possible?
Hearing her sister Yelena's words in this life, Natasha couldn't help having that thought. Once again, she recalled the entire process in which she and Hawkeye Barton had killed the Red Room's leader in this life, then defected to S.H.I.E.L.D.
The whole building had been destroyed. Could anyone possibly have survived that?
Come on.
Recalling that explosion, Natasha was certain that even if Tony Stark had been inside the building, he would have been blown to pieces.
"Dreykov is already dead."
Natasha came back to herself and looked at Yelena. "Barton and I practically destroyed half the city before we found him."
After completing that mission, she and Barton had spent three full days hiding in the ventilation ducts of a subway station to evade the Hungarian authorities' pursuit.
If Dreykov hadn't died, would there have been such a massive operation?
As she spoke.
Natasha briefly recounted how she and Hawkeye Barton had killed Dreykov in this life. "We planted the bombs. Dreykov is dead."
"Who is 'we'?"
"Barton and me."
"...He didn't..."
"Shh!"
"What?"
Natasha was just about to continue speaking with Yelena when her powerful and keen Sixth Sense suddenly came online. Like a fishing net, it rumbled outward from this place as its center, sweeping in every direction.
The next second.
Natasha came back to herself and looked at Yelena. "Someone's coming."
Yelena frowned.
Just then.
With a boom and an explosion, the glass shattered. Immediately afterward, a stun grenade was thrown inside.
Bang!
Instantly.
For fuck's sake, I haven't even taken a shower yet.
In Natasha's line of sight, the stun grenade being thrown in moved exceptionally slowly. Looking at it, only one thought occupied her mind.
