  • Jin Sixian explained that Xing Bieli had founded the Blue Light Society and died after being caught in the Sacred Dynasty’s power struggles.
  • Jin Sixian said the society had 119 members, though 81 had been silent for over a year, and showed Gu Jinlai and Zhao Yushu the Starshadow communication device.
  • Gu Jinlai and Zhao Yushu agreed to join the Blue Light Society, which had one active True Lord, three Spirit Transformations, and ten Spirit Refinings.
  • Jin Sixian explained that the society favored the Heavenly Master path because Blue Star survivors had powerful spirits and could use their informational advantage.
  • Jin Sixian revealed that Chao Jiuyin and more than a dozen Blue Star members had lost contact after going to the Heavenly Master Hall, which Chao Jiuyin had suspected was dangerous.

Ch. 422Method

Gu Jinlai joined the Blue Light Society, learned that its members were investigating the Celestial Master Hall, and arranged financing to buy Thunder Magnet Origin Gold for his cultivation. He then confronted Zhang Guanghua over the Heavenly Silver Pavilion’s seizure of the Zhou Family’s money and demanded the remaining 170 million taels by the next day.

  • Jin Sixian helped Gu Jinlai and Zhao Yushu activate Starshadow and introduced them to the Blue Light Society, whose members discussed the worlds drawing closer together.

  • Zhang Guanghua rejected Gu Jinlai’s demand, and Gu Jinlai gave the Heavenly Silver Pavilion until the next day to pay before he reported the matter to the City Lord Mansion.

Ch. 423Divine Ability

After anticipating retaliation from Zhang Chongshan, Gu Jinlai sought safety at the Martial Saint Academy and studied how Celestial divine abilities were classified and cultivated. He realized he could combine martial and Celestial divine abilities using his pure light, but his plans stalled when he learned the required cultivation method cost one hundred million contribution points.

  • After Qian Wuque apologized for bringing the Zhang Household to his residence, Gu Jinlai dismissed him and considered the threat posed by Zhang Chongshan.
  • Gu Jinlai asked Jin Sixian to send the Thunder Magnet Essence Gold as soon as possible, then went to stay at the Martial Saint Academy for safety.
  • At the Academy library, Gu Jinlai read about the nine Celestial tiers and reflected on the limits of pursuing cultivation alongside the Heavenly Master path.
  • Gu Jinlai realized martial and Celestial divine abilities shared the same source and that his pure light could let him cultivate Celestial abilities and combine the two methods.
  • Gu Jinlai tried to reach the third floor to study Celestial cultivation methods, but the white-haired elder told him each exchange required one hundred million contribution points.

Ch. 424Stellar Magnetic Field

Gu Jinlai sold the Zhou Household’s passbook to Zhang Guanghua, then traded the proceeds for Thunder-Magnetic Origin Gold and secluded himself to cultivate. Refining the gold brought the Chaotic Thunder Origin Body to great accomplishment, where he discovered that his biological magnetic field could connect to and draw on a stellar magnetic field.

  • Gu Jinlai reviewed the limited records of divine abilities and concluded he would have to wait until after fighting the Zhang Household to find one suited to him.

Ch. 432The True Self

After accounting for his spoils and deciding to make up for resources he had previously diverted, he led the Enforcement Court to the Zhang Family, where Cao Congyun’s forces confronted him.

  • Gu Jinlai used clear light to refine Magnetic Light into a field-based divine ability that could amplify Sword of Thunder and potentially develop into a stellar magnetic field.

Yan Lie agreed to seek an exchange for a high-grade stellar magnetic field divine ability and promised to help protect Gu Jinlai’s freedom to pursue his martial dao will.
