"Old Vegapunk, good morning!"
"Eh, your head seems to have gotten quite a bit bigger again." Milim looked at Vegapunk's head, which had grown another size larger, in considerable surprise.
Vegapunk stood at a lab bench three meters away from Milim, holding experimental data in his hand as he carefully studied the experiment.
Hearing her voice, Vegapunk turned around. The moment he saw Milim, the irritation on his face immediately eased into a relaxed, cheerful expression. He looked very happy.
"What fun thing are you working on this time?" Milim poked her head around curiously.
Vegapunk walked over to Milim with a smile and lightly tapped her on the head with a finger. "This isn't anything fun. I'm trying to replicate Devil Fruits, but I keep failing."
"So even our Chief Scientist has things he can't handle." Hearing the weariness in Vegapunk's voice, Milim giggled and tapped him on the head.
Vegapunk hurriedly swatted away Milim's mischievous little hand and sighed helplessly. "Maybe I chose the wrong fruit to study. Is it truly impossible for new Mythical Zoan-type dragon fruits to be born in this world?"
"None of that matters. Do you want to go play at the beach tomorrow?" Milim looked at Vegapunk expectantly.
"Mm... well." Vegapunk hesitated. He still had plenty of work to do over the next few days, along with many projects that required his involvement.
"You've all been busy for so long. Just treat tomorrow as a holiday, please, please." Milim's eyes became pitiful, making Vegapunk's heart soften.
In the end, he could only nod helplessly and agree to make time to go to the beach tomorrow.
"Then it's a promise. See you tomorrow!" Milim waved and ran outside with boundless cheer.
Vegapunk sighed, looked at the work in his hands, and shook his head.
