"Messenger" 1.04 Emergency Update Patch
I adjusted my schedule and luxuriously slept for ten hours. Taking a day off!
It was strange, really. In the past, I would have given anything to sleep less. Especially when I was in school, I often read novels until the early hours of the morning, then caught up on sleep in class. I even took "Why sleep long while alive?" as my motto. Now I have no particular demands when it comes to food, and I only play games casually. Sleep is the one thing I crave more and more. Every day, when I wake up and realize I slept less than six hours, I feel like the day has already failed before it even began. I wish I could quit the game and reroll from the start.
Now, when I try to recall my younger self from ten years ago, I realize I've really changed a lot. Ten years ago, I thought I could play Dota 2 for the rest of my life; now, I haven't even logged in once. Ten years ago, I thought certain friends would stay close to me forever; now, I only remember them when their little red Steam notification pops up to show they're online. Ten years ago, I had just started writing, intending only to avoid taking summer jobs during my school breaks. I never imagined it would become a lifelong career. Ten years ago, I occasionally enjoyed pervy stuff; now, I enjoy pervy stuff often. Ten years ago, I was single; now, I'm a big-name Qidian author. So yes, I've really changed a lot.
