The black-clad Elves followed close behind, their scimitars carving silver arcs through the air as they collided with Wolf Clan battle-axes, producing a piercing screech of grinding metal.
One Elf used his nimble body to flip onto the wall, only for a Lion Clan soldier to hurl a spear that pierced his shoulder.
He cried out in pain and fell from the wall, instantly surrounded by the surging Wolf Clan soldiers. Battle-axes came down, and blood splashed scarlet across the ground.
"Charge east! There are fewer guards there!" Shaluqi roared as she loosed arrows.
A Lion Clan soldier's sword aura tore through her black robe, exposing a section of fair arm marked with the Elf Race's distinctive leaf tattoo.
"Catch the one in the black hood! She's the leader!" a Lion Clan captain bellowed, swinging his sword at her.
Shaluqi twisted aside. Her shortbow swept out, its string wrapping around the man's wrist. She yanked sharply, and as he winced in pain, an arrow shot straight for his face.
Amid the melee, the gaunt man tried to slip away unnoticed, but a Wolf Clan soldier spotted him.
The Wolf Clan soldier grinned savagely and swung his axe. The man screamed as one arm was severed at the shoulder, blood spurting out.
He rolled across the ground, howling in agony, and was soon trampled into a pulp beneath countless feet.
Shaluqi caught sight of it from the corner of her eye, yet her heart did not stir in the slightest.
She led the remaining three Elves in a fighting retreat. Her arrows flew like meteors, every one precisely claiming a life.
But there were simply too many enemies. A Lion Clan greatsword cleaved open one Elf's chest, while a Wolf Clan battle-axe shattered another Elf's leg.
"Third Elder, go!"
