When the last wisp of Dark Energy was swallowed by a Hungry Ghost Lord, the void finally fell silent.

But that silence lasted only a moment before the Hungry Ghosts, fresh from their feast, turned their eyes toward the transparent barrier enveloping the planet.

This barrier radiated a faint halo. It was the final shield sealing Canglan Planet, yet in the Hungry Ghosts' eyes, it had become a new delicacy.

The leading Hungry Ghost Lord tentatively extended a claw and lightly scraped the barrier. A tiny crack appeared, accompanied by a crisp shattering sound, and a stream of pure energy leaked from the fissure.

The Hungry Ghost Lord immediately let out an excited howl, lowered its head, and began taking huge bites out of the crack.

Crunching sounds rang out without end. With every fragment of the barrier it bit off, its body grew stronger, and the scales on its body became even more dazzling.

Seeing this, the other Hungry Ghosts followed suit. Countless Hungry Ghosts surged toward the transparent barrier like a tidal wave.

Some tore at it with sharp claws, some gnawed at it with their teeth, while others simply rammed it with their bodies.

The Sealing Array barrier, once thought unbreakable, was soon covered in spiderweb-like cracks beneath the Hungry Ghosts' combined assault.

These barrier fragments contained the energy of the sealing formation. Though their properties differed from Dark Energy, they could likewise be absorbed and refined by the Hungry Ghosts.
