Victory at Black Worm Nest
As soon as the attack began, some of the orcs realized that something was wrong.
Black Worm Nest was divided into inner and outer sections. The inner city had developed from the humans' original settlement, surrounded by sturdy walls that stretched all the way to the docks.
The outer city was home to many local natives who had come to seek refuge there. Because of the trade, it was usually bustling with people.
But today, it was deathly quiet. Had everyone gone to the inner city? As they drew closer, they discovered that the inner city's gates were tightly shut. Those with sharp eyes also noticed the heavily armed guards stationed atop the walls.

The humans had indeed been prepared. The whoosh of crossbow bolts and the bangs of muskets intertwined.
The attackers suffered terribly and paid a heavy price in casualties. Fortunately, they still managed to set their ladders against the walls.
As a newly established town, Black Worm Nest's walls were not very high. Even ladders made with the Forest Orcs' primitive technology were enough to deal with them.
They charged upward with large wooden shields raised. Just as their grassland kin were natural riders, these orcs who had grown up in the forests were natural hunters. They had climbed and moved through dense woods since childhood, making them
