Countless eyeballs were hidden inside that mass of mucus, each with a different shape and color. Anyone who looked at it would see a completely different eyeball leap out. The eyeball would then swiftly transform into a streak of light and form a bizarre connection with that person. The blood-veined mucus would rapidly flow over, becoming a grayish-white, viscous blood vessel that would ultimately thoroughly corrupt the person, turning them into new mucus before reclaiming them.
That was more or less the process.
From time to time, severed limbs would appear within the mass of mucus—a hand, a leg, a skull, and the like. Occasionally, fragments of buildings, stones, tree trunks, broken weapons, and other things would emerge as well.
It seemed that even the mass of mucus itself could not completely dissolve them. But thinking those things were harmless would be truly naive.
In Zhang Yang's eyes, the blood-veined mass of mucus could at most be considered extremely filthy. It carried a powerful plague that killed any human who saw it and destroyed any god who encountered it.
