Leaving the Mountain

Information about the Stone Spirit Race swiftly emerged in Chen Luo's mind.

Of the Stone Spirit Race, Stone Mother Empress, whom Chen Luo had newly acquired from the Ancestral Tomb, knew the most. This Stone Mother Empress was the First Generation Ancestor of the Stone Spirit Race. At the beginning, she had been the only Stone Spirit. Back then, Stone Mother Empress had transformed into countless incarnations, enough to rival even the Willow Tree Spirit, making her an existence of the same generation as the Eight-Armed Pig King.

Only after Stone Mother Empress passed away did the later Stone Spirit Race come into being.

Chen Luo had originally planned to remain among the Demon Race for a while longer and, while he was at it, borrow the "Dao" here. If possible, he would help them safeguard it for a period of time. But Ancestor Gui's appearance changed Chen Luo's plans. Ancestor Gui had expressed goodwill and, based on Chen Luo's preferences, gifted him a Mang Bird Bone. With the Flower-Backed Turtle serving as an intermediary, Chen Luo could not very well turn hostile again. Most importantly, even if he did turn hostile, he lacked the confidence. Ancestor Gui's Demon Power was far too strong; Chen Luo was not certain he could win.

So he adjusted his direction and decided to pull one more job before leaving the Demon Race.

He had yet to undergo the Heavenly Tribulation for breaking through to the Void Return Realm.

Once he was done, he would return and undergo the Void Return Heavenly Tribulation. The Soul Transformation Tribulation had brought him enormous benefits; the Void Return Tribulation would certainly provide even greater feedback. Perhaps he could even use the power of the Heavenly Tribulation to advance his cultivation another step.
