The autumn wind was bleak, fallen leaves drifting through the air.
"Where in this world was there any opportunity to become immortal? There were only calamities for all living beings."
Immortal Ge reached out and brushed the dust from the stone stele's surface. Unfortunately, the words upon it had already long ago weathered away, leaving its exact contents impossible to discern.
Unlike his appearance at the Emperor Tomb, Immortal Ge now seemed even more unfathomable. His robes had changed from dark cyan to pure white, and he possessed an immortal bearing, like a True Immortal descending into the mortal world.
"Then what did you come here to find?"
"A path."
In the empty wilderness, Immortal Ge spoke to himself, as though an invisible person stood behind him.
"The path back to the Immortal Realm."
As his hand brushed across one of the characters, a layer of flowing light suddenly lit up at his fingertips.
Crack, crack.
A layer of black qi seeped from the character. At first, it was no more than a thread, but it quickly spread across the entire stone stele before rapidly diffusing outward. Within the graveyard, similar auras drifted from the surfaces of every weathered stele.
"Could that place still be called the Immortal Realm?"
"Where there were immortals, that was naturally the Immortal Realm."
Concealing his aura, Immortal Ge stood up, turned, and walked back the way he had come.
Those traitors outside would definitely be unable to resist once they caught the scent of these familiar auras.
"Your logic really is strange. So, did you find it?"
"Soon."
