Ch. 381Race Against Time (3)

Adam and the Hyperdimensional Mages entered the Heavenly Realm to investigate its Martial Saints and prepare for the God Realm, discovering that the Mages faced far stronger foes than expected. As the Heavenly Realm’s forces counterattacked, Adam ordered the Mages to sacrifice themselves if necessary to kill their enemies.

  • Timothy the Hyperdimensional explained that no known True Spirit had surpassed Level Nine and that the Mage World could send reinforcements if a Level Nine enemy appeared.
  • After more than twenty Martial Saints died and two advanced, the Mages killed the remaining Martial Saints in the Sacred Realm and entered the Heavenly Realm.
  • The Mages learned that the Tool Sect and Realm Alliance governed the Heavenly Realm and that Martial Saints competed every hundred years for five Trial of Godhood advancement quotas.
  • After more than a year of fighting, Adam estimated that fewer than one hundred Martial Saints lived in the Heavenly Realm, and the Mages had already lost more than twenty members while uncovering the Tool Sect inheritance.
  • The two major Heavenly Realm forces coordinated a counterattack, and Adam ordered all Mages to stop preserving themselves and self-destruct if needed to take enemies with them.

Ch. 382Capturing (I)

The mages captured the last Martial Saints in the Heavenly Realm and forced the Tool Sect's Sect Master to reveal how Fourth Epoch energy became vital energy. Adam then proposed infecting the God Realm Creature from within, and the Sixth and Third Holy Towers completed a toxin shortly before the Hundred Year Tribulation.

  • Formal Mages sacrificed themselves in explosive attacks, while nineteen Hyperdimensional Mages killed the Realm Alliance's Alliance Master and five Third Holy Tower mages subdued the Tool Sect's Sect Master.
  • The Tool Sect's Sect Master revealed that the First Wisp of vital energy in the Qianyuan Realm had come from a God Realm Creature.
  • Adam explained that his plan was to use a toxin to disrupt the God Realm Creature from within and create an opening for the True Spirit Your Majesties to capture it.
  • Adam demonstrated how Energy-Devouring Cells could survive, multiply, and mutate, and asked the Sixth Holy Tower to develop a toxin and the Third Holy Tower to contribute its life magic knowledge.
  • Adam, Cass, and Locke served as computational upload units for more than ten years as the two Holy Towers developed the toxin, which was completed one year before the Hundred Year Tribulation.

Ch. 383Capture (II)

After Adam reported the plan to capture the remnant in the Qianyuan Realm, Prometheus assembled five True Spirits and prepared a large-scale operation around the realm. As the fleet surrounded the target and the opening approached, Prometheus arrived in his true body and sealed the surrounding void with his Mage’s Armor.

  • Adam and the other mages outside the Third Holy Tower left the Qianyuan Realm by destroying their Martial Cores, and Timothy told Adam to report their plan to Prometheus.
  • Adam briefed Prometheus, who assigned Randolph, Mayer, Kratos, and Laura roles in preparing to contain and capture the remnant when the Crystal Wall System weakened.
  • Thousands of starships from all seven Holy Towers surrounded the Qianyuan Realm, while the Explorer Mages gathered to feast aboard a ship.
  • Sandy told Adam she hoped to advance and build a Mage Tower, and Adam hinted that her existing design might still be useful.
  • Prometheus arrived in his true body two days later and expanded his Mage’s Armor to enclose the surrounding void.

Ch. 384Capture (Readers, Come Back~ This Arc Is Ending~)

Adam witnessed the True Spirit Archmages prepare to capture the God Realm Creature as the Hundred Year Tribulation began. Laura’s virus destabilized the creature, and the chapter ended as Kratos struck it with a powerful punch.

  • Adam saw His Majesty Prometheus’s Mage’s Armor harmonize magic and power as Kratos and Laura arrived before the battle.
  • Randolph’s mages sealed off the region, and Adam and the other unqualified mages left the war zone to watch from a distance.
  • Laura sent her subordinates away, entered the primordial energy as information, and triggered its flow into the God Realm Creature when the Hundred Year Tribulation began.
  • The True Spirit Archmages planned their assault, with Laura directing the virus, Mayer preparing Genesis, and Kratos readying his full power.
  • The God Realm Creature’s cells and primordial energy rebelled against it as Genesis descended and Randolph’s gravity bound the region.
  • Kratos crossed the distance and punched the destabilized God Realm Creature.

Ch. 385True Spirit Battle (Part One)

Kratos True Spirit battled the God Realm Creature while Laura True Spirit monitored its mutated Energy-Devouring Cells and Martial Cores. Kratos tore off the creature’s left arm and discovered its Martial Cores had become indestructible, while the creature continued fighting with its own body and energy.

  • Kratos True Spirit struck the God Realm Creature, calming its spiritual energy and knocking its escaping Energy-Devouring Cells back inside.
  • The God Realm Creature unleashed a Heavenly Sword and used its Martial Cores to restore its body and create a black protective layer.
  • Laura True Spirit triggered an orderly counterattack from the creature’s suppressed viruses and told Kratos to tear off its left arm.
  • Kratos fought the God Realm Creature and tore away its left arm, which exploded into spiritual-energy swords and attacking warriors.
  • Kratos intercepted the attacks and extracted Martial Cores, discovering he could not crush them before the Spatial Lock Magic Array sent them to the other Two True Spirits.

Ch. 386Battle of True Spirits (II)

Laura True Spirit and the other True Spirits captured the God Realm Creature by breaking its defenses and using life magic to make its primordial energy turn against itself. The creature was left barely alive as Prometheus removed its central Martial Core, and Laura extinguished the newly created beings.

  • Laura True Spirit found that the Martial Core’s primordial energy was imperishable, while Kratos True Spirit judged that the God Realm Creature’s body was weaker than his at the same level.
  • Laura True Spirit ordered Prometheus to break the creature’s defense, Kratos to cut off its primordial energy cycle, and Randolph to seal the creature with the surrounding void.
  • Prometheus and Kratos shattered the God Realm Creature’s defenses, destroyed its Martial Cores, and tore its body apart, severing its energy circulation.
  • Laura True Spirit entered the creature and gave its Energy-Devouring Cells and primordial energy independent consciousnesses, causing its body to collapse into disconnected parts.
  • Randolph True Spirit Grand Mage sealed the creature’s Martial Cores, and Prometheus captured it and ripped out its central Martial Core.
  • Laura True Spirit sang a song of death, extinguishing the Divine Light of the newly conscious monsters.

Ch. 387Return and New Project

Adam returned to the Mage World after the capture of the God Realm Creature and discussed the Third Epoch system and his research plans with the True Spirits. The chapter ended as he introduced his proposed Virtual Reality Technology project.

  • The Mages sealed the God Realm Creature and returned to the Mage World with it for study.
  • Adam learned that more than a century had passed in the Qianyuan Realm, though only a little over a year had passed in the Mage World.
  • Laura True Spirit and Croft discussed punishing Mages who had rejected the Atomic Energy Research Institute's experimental results.
  • Adam told Prometheus that vital energy was powerful but destructive, while the Third Epoch's isolation had stifled its development.
  • Laura asked Adam about his latest project proposal, and Adam named it Virtual Reality Technology.

Ch. 388Virtual Reality

Adam presented Virtual Reality Technology to the True Spirit Mages as a way for mages to train, experience simulated worlds, and exchange knowledge. Convinced of its potential but wary of granting it access to souls, Prometheus told Adam to prepare while the True Spirits discussed the plan.

  • Adam explained how the Virtual World could let programmers create worlds unconstrained by reality and demonstrated a mage-themed game to the True Spirit Mages.
  • Adam proposed letting mages enter the Virtual World as souls, where they could train, experience simulated battles, and study at altered time rates.
  • Adam described using the Martial Core to simulate vital energy and Third Epoch creatures, gather intelligence, and improve War Trials.
  • Adam proposed expanding the technology into a world where mages could communicate, exchange knowledge, and practice in Copy Spaces.
  • Prometheus said the True Spirits were persuaded by the plan’s benefits and told Adam to prepare while they discussed it.

Ch. 389Virtual Reality (II)

Adam introduced a Virtual Reality project to researchers at the Personal Chip Research Institute, who raised technical and safety concerns. Wendy explained that soul research and stored Other Plane origin could address the main obstacles, and Adam asked who would join the project.

  • Laura True Spirit and Prometheus True Spirit assigned Adam’s project to the Personal Chip Research Institute and asked Laura to provide him with a soul-magic assistant.
  • Adam described Virtual Reality Technology to interested researchers, and Garfield asked whether it would give him a body.
  • Researchers questioned whether the M Language, servers, and World Engine could support the Virtual World and raised concerns about materialized souls and death within it.
  • Wendy Hyperdimensional explained that research at the Third Holy Tower had confirmed souls possessed Wave-Particle Duality and that magic could transform souls for entry into a Virtual World.
  • Wendy said the Third Holy Tower had enough stored Other Plane origin for the World Engine, and Adam asked who would join the project.

Ch. 390World Engine's Choice

Adam expanded his research teams and visited the Third Holy Tower’s Origin Repository to find an origin suitable for constructing a Virtual World. Laura True Spirit showed him two mysterious Ruin Planes believed to be remnants of the Second Epoch, and Adam asked how their age had been determined.

  • Adam recruited programmers and authorized researchers in Quantum Entanglement and Quantum Communication to expand their teams, with Wendy approving candidates’ qualifications.
  • Adam and Wendy visited the Third Holy Tower’s Origin Repository, where Wendy explained that the captured God Realm Creature remained sealed and could not yet provide vitality samples for Adam’s project.
  • Adam asked for an origin associated with Will Life or elemental life, and Wendy sought approval to show him a rare candidate.
  • Laura True Spirit led Adam through the Repository’s seals and revealed two Light Orbs that were the remains of ancient Ruin Planes.
  • Laura True Spirit described how the planes had produced illusions before collapsing, and Adam asked how mages knew they dated from the Second Epoch.

Ch. 391World Engine (II)

Laura True Spirit explained that ancient Origin Power may have once been living creatures from the Second Epoch, whose evolution into voids ultimately failed. Adam and Wendy returned a harmless remnant to the Mage World Research Institute and discovered its power to create vast, lifelike illusions, making it a potential World Engine for Virtual Worlds.

  • Laura True Spirit gave Adam a small Origin Power remnant and showed him three images suggesting that ancient creatures had filled fractures in the void before everything was destroyed.
  • Laura True Spirit explained that the Second Epoch's inhabitants may have evolved into voids, and that mages planned to transform the Mage World and sacrifice Hypervoid Lifeforms and themselves to pursue transcendence.
  • Adam worried that mages might disappear whether their plan succeeded or failed, while Laura True Spirit and Wendy argued that civilization's inheritance and fire could endure.
  • Adam and Wendy brought the remnant to the Mage World Research Institute, where it seemed to grow more lively.
  • Wendy demonstrated that the remnant created detailed illusions from thoughts without detectable energy fluctuations and explained its potential as a World Engine for Virtual Worlds.

Ch. 392World Engine (3)

Adam and his researchers tested the Second Epoch Relic Origin and found that it could simulate almost anything, making it a powerful foundation for the Virtual World. Unable to understand its Source Code, Adam divided the research into two approaches and secured help from a World Guardian team.

  • Wendy explained that the Relic Origin’s illusions would not harm living beings and resisted attempts to use it as an Illusion Magic amplifier.
  • Adam and the researchers placed the Relic Origin on a blank Plane and connected their Personal Chips, discovering that it could simulate fantastical scenes, even the might of True Spirits.
  • The researchers found that the Relic Origin’s Source Code differed completely from Fourth Epoch Origins, preventing them from fully understanding or safely using it for a large-scale Virtual World.
  • Adam split the researchers into a group studying the Relic Origin’s Source Code and a group building an engine from scratch in a Blank Origin.
  • Her Majesty Croft told Adam that a World Guardian team with prior experience studying Relic Origin would arrive at his laboratory within a day.

Ch. 393Another Matter

Her Majesty Croft approved Adam’s Virtual World project and explained the challenges of reviving the Relic Origin. She then revealed the Council’s plan to establish Academy Continent and asked Adam to help with a separate matter.

  • Her Majesty Croft showed Adam how mages assembled modular origin and explained why the Relic Origin could not be deciphered the same way because it had once been a living creature.
  • Her Majesty Croft assured Adam that the Council supported the Virtual World project and said the Fourth Holy Tower’s biologists would lead experiments to revive the Relic Origin.
  • Her Majesty Croft told Adam that Big Data had revealed failures in the Mage World’s apprentice selection system and that universal education could address them.
  • Her Majesty Croft announced that the Guardians had gathered the Barren Islands into Academy Continent, where the Holy Towers and Hyperdimensional Mage Tower would establish Mage Academies.
  • Adam asked whether Her Majesty Croft wanted him to establish an academy, and she said she had another matter for him.

Ch. 394Contradiction

Adam outlined a three-stage education system for ordinary people and mage apprentices, with free compulsory schooling, paid secondary education, and elite higher academies. Her Majesty Croft questioned whether an easy path to knowledge and resources would nurture complacency, leaving Adam to consider that people differed too much for any system to make everyone pursue truth.

  • Her Majesty Croft told Adam he was not qualified to oversee all textbook compilation, but said he must write the textbooks for the Electromagnetic System he had founded.
  • Her Majesty Croft asked Adam to advise her on reforming education for ordinary people and apprentices.
  • Adam proposed compulsory, secondary, and higher education, with different curricula, fees, and opportunities at each level.
  • Adam recommended using theoretical exams for ordinary people and both theory and practical combat exams for mage apprentices.
  • Her Majesty Croft asked whether the system would make future students too comfortable and whether they would value what they received.
  • Adam fell silent, recognizing that people varied in their ideals and desires and could not all be changed by the education system or the Magic Net.

Ch. 395Contradiction (II)

Adam agreed to oversee the Academy Plan as Deputy Minister of the new Academy Department, while Croft and the True Spirits worried about Mage Society’s deep-seated contradictions and the possibility of future conflict. The chapter ended with Garfield incredulous that Adam was going to teach students.

  • Croft decided to carry out the Academy Plan and asked Adam to become its second-in-command and executor.
  • Adam accepted the role of Deputy Minister of the Academy Department and planned to oversee the Academy Continent through an avatar.
  • Croft and the True Spirits discussed the dangers of peace, the unresolved contradictions in Mage Society, and whether war might awaken the mages.
  • Laura warned that the Third Holy Tower would show no mercy if action became necessary, while Prometheus said he would personally extinguish the evil flames if that day came.
  • Garfield reacted with disbelief when Adam told him he was going to be a teacher.

Ch. 396Conflict (End)

Adam prepared to manage the academies and learned that his reforms would put him at odds with powerful Free Hyperdimensionals and their conglomerates. Just as Wendy offered to protect him, a group teleported into his laboratory and challenged her claim of strength.

  • Adam reviewed his plans for the Virtual Reality World and awaited personnel for the academy project and research teams.
  • Garfield mocked Adam’s ability to manage academies, while Wendy warned that the work would be politically and mentally demanding.
  • Wendy showed Adam records revealing that Free Hyperdimensionals rarely joined dangerous wars, and explained how conglomerates profited from others’ sacrifices and restricted apprentice training.
  • Wendy warned Adam that confronting the Free Faction could make him a Solitary Ruler, but Adam accepted that his allegiance lay with the Holy Towers.
  • Wendy offered to serve as Adam’s bodyguard and claimed few Level Eight Hyperdimensionals could match her, when a group teleported into the laboratory and its leader challenged her.

Ch. 397Taking Office (I)

Adam took office as Deputy Minister of the Academy Department with protection and broad authority from the Holy Tower Faction. After arriving on the Academy Continent, he began organizing a survey of its population and political forces as local rulers and financial conglomerates competed for influence.

  • Aisha and Guardian Averil told Adam that four Level Eight mages would protect him and help him overcome any obstacles to his work.
  • Two days later, Adam left the Mage Continent for the Academy Continent with four bodyguards and more than a hundred High-Level Mages.
  • A Guardian explained that local nobles and kings had started wars over the newly united Academy Continent while financial conglomerates infiltrated it.
  • Adam decided that feudal rule had to be abolished and ordered his team to divide the continent into one hundred regions and report each region's population and distribution of forces.

Ch. 398Taking Office (2)

Adam began laying the groundwork for universal mage education across the Academy Continent, prioritizing population registration, construction, and security rather than negotiating over the war. Two months later, William visited him on behalf of the Duncan Financial Group to learn his plans.

  • Adam explained that he intended to establish the Council’s authority decisively, while Aisha noted that the Free Faction did not know the details of his plans.
  • Adam ordered an application and budget for distributing communicators as identity records and household registration across Council-controlled regions.
  • Adam instructed the mages to map Magic Beast populations, relocate the beasts, and begin building roads, new cities, and an Academy City at the continent’s center.
  • The Free Faction and financial groups grew uneasy when Adam’s guardians and Holy Tower Mages avoided the battlefields and made no move to negotiate.
  • Two months later, William met Adam in Academy City and said he represented the Duncan Financial Group of the Third Holy Tower, asking what Adam intended to do.

Ch. 399A Challenge (I)

William approached Adam on behalf of Duncan, but Adam rejected the attempt to pressure and recruit him. As representatives of powerful organizations continued testing Adam, he advanced the Academy Continent’s development, prompting powerful clans to protest his plan for robot-run schools.

  • William met Adam and urged him to reveal his plans, claiming Duncan could offer him resources and make him a Hyperdimensional Mage.
  • Adam used magic to send William away, then received Victor Mage, who delivered the Rex Consortium’s offer and left an apple containing a message from Mordo Hyperdimensional.
  • Mordo warned Adam through the apple that financial groups and Free Mages would keep testing him and might try to stop his growth if they could not control him.
  • Over the next three months, Adam had Garfield impersonate him while he planned cities, roads, free communicators, and basic education academies for the Academy Continent.
  • The powerful clans rallied mortal representatives in Academy City to demand the right to teach freely after Adam ordered that every city establish at least two academies staffed by robots.

Ch. 400Raising Objections (2)

Adam faced a mass protest in Academy City against Basic Academy, robot teachers, and communicators, while recognizing that Mages and corporations had manipulated the crowd. He isolated the loudest protesters and Free Mages and asked whether they truly wanted to die.

  • Council-controlled cities sent more than forty billion Ordinary People to protest in Academy City, while Adam identified agitators using consciousness-guiding magic to inflame public opinion.
  • Adam addressed the crowd as the Council-appointed authority and used his Hyperdimensional pressure to silence them.
  • Protesters demanded human teachers and rejected communicators, claiming Mages were imposing surveillance and control.
  • Aisha identified the most extreme statements as voices controlled by corporations and Mages, and Adam saw some ordinary protesters withdraw from the confrontation.
  • Adam activated Magic Arrays to isolate the loudest speakers and Free Mages, then asked them whether they were sure they would rather die.
