In an antique, elegantly furnished room.
"Elder Zheng, why did you summon me?"
Looking at the white-haired elder before him, Qin Wufeng could not help recalling the scenes of the old man punishing him with a stick in the past.
Elder Zheng was half a teacher to him. He had looked like this before becoming a Martial Saint, and he still looked like this after becoming one. His appearance had not changed in the slightest; who knew how many years he had already lived?
The elder gestured for Qin Wufeng to sit, then unhurriedly asked him a rather baffling question.
"What kind of person do you think Jiang Yan is?"
"Jiang Yan?" Qin Wufeng had not expected him to ask that, but he still answered honestly. "Talented, bold, and hardworking. Ever since coming to Shendu Martial University, he has almost always been cultivating. He is a very good child."
"Mm." The elder nodded, apparently approving of Qin Wufeng's description.
His gaze drifted elsewhere as he asked another question wholly unrelated to the last, his voice faint and distant. "You watched him challenge the Myriad Worlds Heavenly Ladder before. Do you know who that young man called Luo An is?"
"Luo An?" Qin Wufeng remembered that person extremely clearly, not merely because of his extraordinary strength, but also because of his appearance!
Elder Zheng's next words directly confirmed Qin Wufeng's suspicions.
"You saw it too, didn't you? He is actually from the Human Race."
"What?!" Qin Wufeng's pupils constricted as he stared at Elder Zheng excitedly. "Could it be that Luo An truly is the trump card our Human Race has cultivated, as the outside world claims?"
Elder Zheng smiled. "Heh, you only got half of that right."
Qin Wufeng was somewhat bewildered. "Half right? What do you mean, Elder Zheng?"
