The Top of the Gate of Foundation

The most magnificent building in Kageno City was the central facility that managed the entire artificial island. It was also where high-end brand stores gathered, making it the island's premier fashion hub.
In addition, the Gate of Foundation housed a museum and souvenir shops for the Demon Race Special Administrative Zone. Since it was also the tallest building in Kageno City, tourists visiting Kageno Island usually treated it as their first sightseeing stop. For the locals, this was common knowledge.
Thanks to that, with the Haronin Festival approaching, the many tourists in the city had begun flooding toward the Gate of Foundation, making the area incredibly lively.
No one had noticed that, with the Gate of Foundation at its center, the space throughout Kageno Island was twisting—and growing increasingly severe.
At present, perhaps only beings with especially powerful magic or psychic abilities, along with some unlucky people who happened to encounter particularly severe distortions, would trigger random Spatial Transfer. But as time passed, the phenomenon would certainly worsen, eventually causing the space throughout Kageno City to become completely misaligned. Everyone would be dragged into the disturbance, unable to escape unscathed.
Luo Zhen and La Folia arrived at the Gate of Foundation under those circumstances.

The spatial distortions on Kageno Island were centered around the Gate of Foundation, and Luo Zhen had already determined that the distortions were most severe here.
