"Luo Zhen... Senior Luo Zhen!?"
It was only when Yuri cried out in surprise that everyone realized the office door had been opened at some point.
Standing there, Luo Zhen was holding a stack of documents, his shoulders hunched as though he had barged into somewhere he shouldn't have.
"Looks like I came at a bad time."
Those words told everyone that Luo Zhen had heard their entire conversation.
"...The mighty 'Magecraft King' actually needs someone to teach him something as simple as knocking?"
Flon was silent for a moment before speaking in obvious displeasure.
Luo Zhen raised an eyebrow, then put on a fake smile.
"That's still better than someone who discusses others behind their backs, isn't it?"
Luo Zhen was not referring to the matter of the large Mutant Strain. He was referring to what they had just said about him.
Flon, however, kept her face cold.
"As the head of the Aerial Combat Mage Department, discussing and making arrangements for the Aerial Knights under my command is only natural."
Flon insisted on this.
"That is true." Luo Zhen nodded as though he took her words seriously, but then drawled lazily, "Since that's the case, perhaps a certain head of the Aerial Combat Mage Department should use more than just her mouth. Her ears would be useful too. You were having such a pleasant discussion over there that you didn't hear someone knocking, and then you turned around and mocked them. Is that really appropriate?"
Clearly, Luo Zhen had knocked earlier. Flon simply hadn't heard him.
After all, what everyone had been discussing was a matter that could very well endanger the survival of Mistgun. When discussing such a topic, overlooking the sound of knocking was perfectly normal.
