At dusk, the students finished their day's classes and training one after another and were preparing to head to the commercial district together to relax.
As before, Luo Zhen waited at the school gate for Yuri to arrive after appearing there.
This time, however, Yuri did not hide away furtively. Instead, she walked out of the campus hesitantly and met up with Luo Zhen.
"Then, let's go."
"O-okay."
The two of them did not quarrel as they had before. Instead, they exchanged a few rather polite words before walking together toward the commercial district.
Along the way, Luo Zhen chatted with Yuri in a very relaxed manner.
Naturally, their topic was work.
"I heard Vivel is going to hold the Aerial Combat Martial Arts Festival soon. Every Floating City with an academy has to select a representative squad to compete in Vivel. Furon and Chloe must be busy with that, right?"
Luo Zhen asked Yuri this question.
"Y-yes." Yuri nodded, seemingly unable to conceal her nervousness, and answered honestly, "Because Senior Kanata is very interested in the Aerial Combat Martial Arts Festival, the Special Operations Squad may participate."
"Kanata?" Luo Zhen did not find this surprising at all. Instead, he spoke as if it were only natural. "Despite how he acts, that guy has a very strong desire to win. It isn't that he's overly competitive—he genuinely loves aerial combat and enjoys the process. So being able to fight the strongest members of representative squads from all over the world in Vivel would definitely be a feast for him."
Ever since the squad led by Luo Zhen had become the S-rank Special Operations Squad S128, its members had become unquestionably the strongest in Mistgun. They could be said to rule the roost there.
However, that dominance was limited to Mistgun.
